Yea, I was handling all of the accounts for my firm for North America through Covid (working remote) which was fine but I needed a break. It’s kind of weird not working but I’ve been doing some volunteer work etc which is hard to do when you’re constantly working. Planning to either go back to my former firm or look for something new in the fall. We’ll see. And agree about tile vs carpet. Cleaning in general isn’t all that fun, though. lol
What a nice challenge, deciding what to do next. I have done that several times in life. But cleaning is always there... it's a reality check. Futuristic SciFi predicts self-cleaning homes, where are they? I suppose a robot vacuum would be nice, the cat would love it - but maybe the iguana would not. He's not supposed to be in here anyway.
Self-cleaning homes I’ll take one. Haven’t tried the robot vacuum - it seems like if it encounters one thing other than dust, it’ll stop working. (Like suppose you dropped a hair band on the floor and forgot about it...will it pick that up or stop?) Hmm.
That made me laugh... what about the aforesaid Iguana droppings? Note to self: keep sliding glass door shut when not right there.
i've got some on vimeo. there's a link on my f.a. page. but it takes so long to upload them anywhere, and there's a data cap on the wifi where i live, so nothing i've done in the past month or so is anywhere besides on my hard drive and back up usb thumb drives. i really wish it was quick, easy and free to upload and share them. its not like they're anything all that special. mostly just the camera flying through the spaces i create, with occasionally one or two something else's moving in them. see if this works:
Not only does it work I am awestruck! You are talented I want to live in that place... perfect for me. Thank you for sharing that! Sorry to hear about the bandwidth there. It ain't free anymore. Used to be I could piggyback on any available network years ago. I actually got a lot of work done while traveling that way. But now, no. Everyone's got their wifi locked down tight... I don't blame them actually. But seriously, if I was using wifi bandwidth through a cellphone I would be crying about the fees. As it is we have fiber optic in the casa, Telmex, and it's cheap in Mexico compared to the US. Lucky me, or I wouldn't be able to do all this everyday here.
Not a lot yet, still fairly early morning here. Oh, have made and eaten breakfast and made and drunk my (special) coffee.
I've been sick since the weekend. Finally getting better and finally was able to go out and walk around for a little bit. Nice to get fresh air again.
It ended up being busier than expected. Met friends, and then talked with different past coworkers about having me come back to work for them in the fall. We will see what happens. I had a good day, overall.
