They don't eat those big blue Hosta, but will go after the smaller variegated ones.

Took some trash out and hung out with my grandmother for the rest of the day. Nothing too interesting

Scavenged some wire out of some junk home stereo stuff to use in that guitar preamp rehousing I'm doing. Seems the reason I don't throw stuff out, is valid. Because I actually will need parts out of it someday.

It rained most of the morning and was in the mid 60's... Then within an hour after the rain quit it was high 90's. Insta-Sauna... Nah, not working in the yard in that shit. Supposed to have storms for the next few days... The yard is still brown, three days from now that grass is going to go nuts.

Had the electrician back again. The lights are not flickering, for now. But the wind is calm.

There were some burnt wires, and an entire electrical panel needed replacing. Another sum of money paid out...

He now says he has called the power company to come and take a look, and they might be here in a day or three or so.

Finished that Peavey Preamp rehousing... Just got done testing it through one of the guitar rigs. Sounds great.

The weird thing is... I have no idea where I got this thing. dunno.gif

I obviously got it before the flood in 2010 because it was covered with mud from that time. But... I never owned a Peavey Century Extended Range amp, which is what this started life as and I only have the front, which is the preamp section. I scarfed a power supply from a practice amp, a case from some piece of crap, some wire from some other piece of shit that was free dumpster dive material... Combined all, and I've got a rackmount preamp that nobody else has...

    Go figure

Cleaned, vacuumed packed and froze yesterdays Copper river fish catch.. The King, second and 3rd pic was 31 lbs and right at 36 inches. Had cut her tail off to fit the cooler. The first one is a Copper River red, 5.7 lbs and the tray it's on is 25.5 inches long. Got 8 like it and the one king. Was hoping for 25 to fill the freezer but 2 weeks of temps in the 80"s has the river about 2 m4ters too high which makes for poor fishing. Make the fish not run up through a narrow canyon very much plus makes an already mean ass river a lot worse.

Yep, my folks are approaching the 75yr old mark and though they are still capable, I try to make it easier and more enjoyable for them by helping pack, etc. Waiting right now for my dad to text me saying they're ready for more help.

Then in mid-August we all will be going on vacation and it'll be wash, rinse, repeat. Except then I can also help them once we reach our destination. ;)

I do the same with my grandmother. She’s also getting up there in age (just retired as well). So my mom and I plan trips together (even if it’s just to go to a restaurant or watch a movie). Just to spend quality time with another. We’re actually planting an upcoming trip to Vegas :)

One of the deer read my post and started eating one of my blue Hostas... It's a spite thing. I should take away their internet access...
