ate the third quarter of the mini-watermellon i bought yesterday at tj's. some cosmic connection woke me in time to see that blue feather thing go up and come back down picture purfect with an all civilian manifest on board. i don't think i'd call any of them crew. the crew were the computers and engineers on the ground driving the thing. but give them credit for their willingness to roll those dice to go up in that thing. even if they had to have had the luck of wealth to have had the chance. the ford tri-motor moment for civilian space enterprise. looking forward to the day of indipendent space salvage operators and asteroid miners. ate some of the other stuff i hadn't yet from yesterday. well some i hope will keep for a couple of days more of course. other things of course, working on my 3d stuff and sleeping and dreaming, because its still too hot to do a lot of walking around outside, plus the air quality from all the fires we're down wind of. the lows are a break from how high they'd been.
Pretty much my day was consumed looking for a "not Broken" problem on my 1974 loader garden tractor. Would have spark, then not, finally figured out the wire coming out of the point box was shorting out when the cover was screwed on tight. Would of had to pull the engine to replace the wire. I stripped off 2 inches of cracked up insulation and slide a new piece on. That was tricky, never pulled that off before. Waiting for the silicone to dry before I finish up.
