My parents made seafood pizzas with clams on them one time. It was actually sooooooo good!

 

Last night. Roasted Marshmallows.

 

Oatmeal with brown sugar, cream, dried fruit, and walnuts.

 

dark roast coffee

 

Spaghetti, buttered garlic French Toast and salad

and wine

 

Clams with a white sauce, bacon, and scallions. Like pasta carbonara on crust.

Out of this world, too....

Stan's niece is an awesome cook.....


I never made this dish....but why cook with vodka? Does it have flavor at all besides the alcohol flavor?...i gag thinking about vodka....i don't like it...but this penne was out of this world....

 

I've cooked up a nice cashew chicken stir fry with the Hokkian noodles. I can't wait to eat it later. smells wonderful. I slow cooked the chicken in my pot and the house was smelling so nice.

 

Alcohol can help bring out the flavours in other herbs. Kind of like how extracts are mostly alcohol based. There was another reason alcohol is good in sauces like that but I can't remember. Vodka was probably easiest to use in a cream sauce because it doesn't have much of its own favour. I'd prefer a white wine though.

Ok, thank you. Yes, the sauce was a red sauce on the creamy side. I wish I had some now. It was that fabulous....and I hope she will make that again for us.... It is hard to impress me and stan's niece certainly did. She is such a kind, thoughtful person, too. I really love that one.

 

For Lunch My Much Loved Pad Thai With King Prawns, And In 2 Hours Time A Ham, Cheese

And Tomato Sammich For Dinner...... .

While I was doing laundry I got some Jambalaya with chicken and shrimp (no sausage, grrr!) to go from the restaurant across the street from the laundromat. It was entertaining watching them cook it with the flames jumping out of the pan.

More Portuguese tarts! I'm addicted to these things and I found a dessert my boyfriend likes too!

 

A huge burrito stuffed with carne asada steak! There is a new burrito place near my work that looked good so my boyfriend met me at the end of the day and we went there.

 

Today I had an amazing meal at a vegan restaurant. I ordered an awesome burger (that's the name of the burger) piled high with mushrooms and onions.



Then I went over to my parents and had some tea and mince meat tarts! My dad makes these every year and they are so good. This one has some hard sauce and a bit of brandy (we were playing around with some new flambe tools) on it.
