but are you saying that you are incapable of understanding what a person is trying to say if they have a religious background? that leaves out quite a large part of the human population.
KC, You can't parallel a term such as "sin" to "fucking up", because one of the greatest "sin" is UNBELIEF... do you consider that as a secular "fuck up"?
forget "sin" vs. "erring morally".... really, what if there is no fucking up? ie. previous discussion with khar.: "we are one" or, "we are god", how can there be wrongness?
not necessarily. a parallel doesn't mean an exact match. but for a statement such as "everyone has sinned" there IS a parallel. everyone HAS fucked up at some time. it's what we do. though i suppose if someone came out of the womb in a coma and stayed that way, it wouldnt' be true, but again, that would just be splitting hairs.
I understand that, but if someone applies the term "sin" to me, I will disregard it, until they stop using the "spooky language" and just say, "Man, you fucked up."
accepting that premise, and that's what i have to do, a la sci-fi, then perhaps there is no wrongness. though once could also argue that as long as no experience is wasted, that bad does not exist, then there can be no absolute wrong, i guess. however, i think in our current societal construct, causing harm to another person is wrong in nearly all cases.
I don't know who is more whacked Kharakov (who is obviously just fucking around) or Franco... Ok....Franco.
kharakov's serious. and he has a pretty cool philosophy. plus he panders to my greedy curiousity. lol
i'm considering kicking around the meat eaters who bug the vegans, even though i'm a hunter. sounds kinda fun, and challenging.
