I'm not saying it can be done by fiat--it can't.That's where the stupidity comes into play.

Who the hell in the world has the right, or should be given the authority, to say who can live and die? It might be easier to consider if the Rockefellers and Kissingers of the world offered themselves up for euthanization first.

Look, lead by example. Put the gun to your head and pull the trigger. That's all.

What I'm saying is,is that humans can't look at the practicality of "running the earth" in a way that is conducive to equity for all humans and "lesser" creatures without flipping right out about change ,at the present time.It had to have happened long ago when or if "those in control"over the millenia could have recognized the fatal flaws in our nature, the main one being greed. It can't happen now and I envision a chaotic Blade Runner or THX-1138 type world in which to live for those that survive.Witness the bullshit people come up with concerning health care for all.Down the line,as usual as shown by history, the ones with the most guns and zombies to man them will survive.Back to stupidity .

Now rat,why would you say something like that? This is just my opinion.I realize I'm nothing and nobody --just like everyone else that has absolutely no say in world events.Shit,I'll be gone before all of you ,but I see what I see. Like they used to say in Viet Nam--"don't mean shit".

And I'm not talking about culling.I'm talking about a rational discussion and implementation about what would make the most sense long-term about acquiring and maintaining a pleasing ,equitable and enjoyable life on this planet for all concerned. That discussion will have to happen sometime. It may be in a hundred years or five hundred years. But at some point these last 2 or 3 hundred years will be looked as aberrational in the extreme for the lack of planning on how to sustain life itself. We have all the land and water we're going to get.But obviously not all the people to use them. We're gaining on the ability to supply fast. The tipping point will arrive.

Where do you get the idea this is true?

I can assure you it wasn't meant to be.

Imo, it would depend where the population was reduced.
But, surely we aren't talking about reducing the population of the planet so America can keep it's antiquated health care system, surely

If you disliked socialised healthcare then presumably you would be able to afford to go private, so no quandry there because you're already a wealthy, elitist bastard. This Is a completely stupid and baseless argument, but since it is rt i can't expect anything more.

I wouldn't be so bloody daft. I'd take the socialized medicine and let it fuck me like a little bitch.

Some bullshit rhetorical question I think, maybe there was a deeper meaning to it that escaped me.

I was asking given a life or death choice...what would you do.
It wasn't meant to be rhetorical...neither particularly that deep.
I just wondered if - if it came down to it - would people stick to their principles. At the end of the day, when life is in the balance, do political debates like this matter? Imo, no.

    Of course they fucking wouldn't!

What kind of a moron is against socialised health care anyway, or did that point I was making mean nothing?

About 100 million Americans it seems.

You would ultimately have a choice, I just wondered if that choice would be effected by an emergency.

    Are they really?

Well, the point I was trying to make is that anyone who is against it can obviously afford to pay for their own private healthcare, which means your question is still silly.
