I don't go there very often, maybe once a summer. I like a small cone, the other stuff is waaay too sweet for me. I've never had their other food.
wow, is america ALL chains and stuff? We dont have Dairy Queen. We dont always have a lot of milkshake type places. Sometimes cafes/ restaurants do them, used to be an "independent store" thing. PS on Starbucks (earlier thread) , looked like they've seriously pissed off everyone in England, for tax dodging lol
surely you have reeses pieces in your country?..and ice cream just mix them in a blender and you have a blizzard
this whole thread is DQ/fast food spam! I'm pissin' on your fast food party, bitches! srsly, I haven't bought any fast food in many years if you want to do yourself a favor in the long run, don't eat any icecream/ sugar/ hydrogenated oil/ fast food all that shit food is tasty though
there's not a DQ here, and i didn't go that often even when i did live by a couple. never got ice cream there, but their fast food stuff was pretty tasty. i almost never eat ice cream. there's an ice cream shop just down the road from me that i go to for coney dogs and loaded fries when it's open during the summer. not yet, but it's definitely moving in that direction.
I can not say I am a fan of their food at all. I find it far too greasy. I do like their dipped cones though, probably a throw back to being a kid and having them then.
Dairy Queen, check it out, multi national. Their Dilly Bars are only poor substitutes for the original. They used to be bigger and were poured making a curl on them. Now they're made in molds. Reese's Pieces are made down the road a bit, but it's debatable how long they can escape getting shipped off to Mexico.
Those would be Buster Bars (yup, every single thing we have has a stupid name, lol). And I pushed for (and recently got!) cherry dip cone sauce at our store and cherry Dilly Bars! Yaaay! Never had either of those candies at our store Nothing. Fuck that place, everything sucks. I used to really like the food, but I'm just so frigging sick of it all. We actually have these spicy chicken strips that are fucking amazing, but I have killer acid reflux and I don't dare. But the menu changes drastically store to store and I think Texas has different food all on its own anyway. All our boxes say "For use in Texas Dairy Queen locations only." Arctic Rushes? That's what they are called at my store, used to be called Misties. Pays the bills, what can I say? That's fine, as long as you wait until summer. It's way too cold in that freezer during the winter. *whispers* Today I used half a roll of paper towels trying to sponge grease off the taco meat. Yeah, gross. We used to make them in the store. It was a lot of fun, we had little sheets of deli paper and a little mold that clamped down over the paper, and you'd fill it up with ice cream, do the signature curl, shove a stick in it, and let it freeze a little more solid, then dip it like a dipped cone, let it dry, and voilah! I loved making treats, except for Buster Bars. Way too many steps in that.
Seriously not one of you yet with the joke along the lines of - I order the Cherry Ramona, Double Dipped
I used to go to DQ for the chocolate covered strawberry Blizzard until they stopped making them. I get the Hawaiian Blizzard on the rare occasion I go these days. If I ever found myself at KR's DQ, I'd probably say something completely creepy and inappropriate to her.
Sometimes people who just know me through friends on Facebook will come up there and be like, "Hi there!" and expect me to come out and converse with them like we've been friends for years. Awwwwkward. But more often than not, I don't deal with the public except on the phone. I'm not a people person and I hold a high position in my store, so I spend most of my time in the kitchen and doing work in the back. I've already done my time up front and that's what I tell everyone.
