sometimes i just get water at starbucks but i usually get the pumpkin spice latte or the frapucino version of it. i also saw a picture on there drive thru menu of these new things that looked good but dunno the name of em. might get one today
Agreed. We don't have Starbucks over here, I've only been to one in Budapest and several in Switzerland. It's too expensive, and the coffee isn't really that good. I mean it's decent, but not worth the money. I did however like the blueberry muffin (it was huuuge) and the salmon bagel, and the guy was cute Still, I prefer local coffee shops. 4/10
I hate Starbucks and everything it stands for. Like most of you, I prefer the coffee I make myself at home with the plunger. I have it strong and black. When I was living in China, Starbucks was considered THE place to be - it would be chockablock full of very trendy types sitting there drinking their shitty, overpriced, syrupy coffee. Blegh.
Usually cappucino. Then a tea/ juice. But Starbucks/Costa etc don't give you a lot of choice( or value). The indep places give you more options, better value and are actually reinvesting profits in your own country/ area. I can't follow why something like coffee shops is being "corporatised", I mean its not like building airliners is it? I'm sure they have dirty tactics eg in planning departments of authorities, So our independent shops are disappearing, which I don't lke.
yeah.. they are pretty over priced.. but its nice to have once in a while.. im a tea drinker myself.. lol
Overpriced? It's like $2 for a cup of coffee. It doesn't seem that overpriced to me. Anyhow, their coffee is too strong for my liking. For some reason, I like really cheap/stale/weak coffee, but I'm not really a coffee person to start with. My husband likes Starbuck's blond roast, and if he goes and I'm with him, I might order an iced coffee of some sort. I can't stand how they label their sizes and refuse to participate. I always say small, medium, or large. How the f is a tall considered a small anyhow? It makes zero sense.
I like the Vanilla Frappacino in a bottle that I can buy OUTSIDE of starbucks. Those are actually really tasty. I'm wrestling with going to get one right now actually. I know this is gonna sound strange, but I no longer participate as a consumer at starbucks. I had a panic attack in there the last time I was there. Granted I was REALLY high. I just can't do it, man.
I've never been to a Starbucks. There is a local place called Heine Brothers, that I like. All of their cups are recycled, and they encourage you to bring in your own cups for them to use. They're always selling hippie handmade stuff. It's a real nice place. I'm not a big coffee drinker though, so when I go there I really don't know what to order. Usually try to find something with chocolate or vanilla in it. I've never been dissapointed.
I rarely get coffee from anywhere and I don't think Starbucks has good coffee, but they do have good coffee drinks, which is completely different. When I do go in I usually get a Cinnamon Dolce Latte with skim milk and no whipped cream or a Chai Latte. I don't consider their drinks to be any more overpriced than any of the other coffee shops. The local coffee shops do have better coffee. There's a couple of really nice one, we also have a coffee truck called Rival Bros. in Love Park sometimes, they make delicious, very inexpensive coffee. All good coffee you can drink straight black, with nothing added to it. I recently had this delicious Haitian coffee. It was probably the best coffee I've ever had.
I like to make my own coffee at home, so on the few rare occasions when I do walk into a Starbucks, I only order their Mocha Latte.
