that's a really nice pair, psych and sociology. I have yet to take any psych classes but I'm enrolled in intro this fall to kinda feel it out. I'm also reading a book by Robert Anton Wilson called Quantum Psychology - he basically applies the laws of quantum mechanics to psychology, it's brilliant imo. Not a really long book either if that sounds interesting. you should check it out we can likeeee totally do the discussion questions together :hat:

In all seriousness. I want to become a doctor; It's my dream. I want to throw away my social life in my mid and late 20s, and become a doctor.

Then, when I am a doctor, I want to learn other stuff, like anthropology, linguistics, psychology, sociology, UNDERWATER ARCHAEOLOGY! I may or may not go back to school to learn these things, I may teach myself, or something like that.

Then I want to travel all over the world with doctors without borders. For two years, maybe. Something like that.

Then settle back down in Israel, and practice medicine until I try and start a family and realize doctors here aren't paid well.

Then I'll prob move back to the states for two years, make tons of money, save it all, and move back to Israel.

sounds good, i will check it out. i really didnt like my intro psych class...a lot of intro classes are just professors trying to cram every dimension of the discipline into one semester in order to prepare you for higher level classes. i felt like my intro was just all over the place, touching on a little bit here and there. once i got into more specialized classes with a focus....yeah....gravy baby. let me know if youre up for some other discussions related to psych/soc

 

Yeah I just expect that of intro classes, I'm taking to this semester, psych and archeology.

And I will definitely be making some threads here and there about whatever I'm reading or even PM you for some intellectual stimulation.
