3D sniper on my iPhone is pretty entertaining. I know they make it so you need to purchase a lot of coins and diamonds to get better weapons, but persistency and saving up and then getting the 80-90% deals has be with some pretty cool rifles and machine guns so far. ^.^
Let me guess: Wind waker and Skyward sword? I didn't play any after Ocarina myself. .. But i recall that these didn't appeal to me. Twilight princess on the other hand.. but didn't wanna get a gamecube just for that (yesyes shame on me :-D) How's Fallout treating you!?
Skyward Sword and Twilight Princess, Wind Waker is pretty good. I didn't start Fallout 4 yet, I announced a little prematurely that I was going to start playing it. I've been a little too busy for that. I need a good stretch of free time before I can begin playing it. Perhaps around the holidays.
Yeps, no point in starting this game if it will be for about half an hour each time. I'm just getting adjusted to how everything works after half an hour :-D Of course i'm already fooling around with crafting and scrapping teehee. Wanna build a water purifier Twilight princess was the disappointing one? Ha... i guess its partly the graphic style why that one seemed appealing to me, and Wind waker didn't.
With Wind Waker they took it into an awesome new direction, the art style and the over world exploration was super interesting. The ire surrounding Wind Waker was that people teased with a tech demo that showed off a super realistic Zelda before Wind Waker was announced, and when it was shown for the first time people thought, oh this is a Zelda game for infants. I am pretty sure it is one of the worst selling Zelda games for that reason. The hook into Twilight Princess is that it returns to the visual style that many suspect Zelda should look like, and that's it. There's nothing else interesting about the game, it's super boring, the game just spins it wheels from beginning to end.
Have you checked out the game Transcendence? I've mentioned it a few times in various gaming threads. It's a huge space exploration/trading/combat game with randomly generated levels. I think it's really neat, but might not be your cup of tea if you're looking toward more of an MMO type game. It does have leaderboards. I'm not sure if they've implemented in-game multiplayer yet or not. It's free though! No nagging ads or loss of gameplay w the free version. And if you like it and want to donate to the developers, you could buy the game on Steam or buy one of the campaign expansions from their website. There are just a shit ton of items to collect/grind for though, so you might feel right at home. I still find this game amazing. Especially after playing Star Control 2 (aka The Ur-Quan Masters HD. Thouroughly enjoyed that game as well.) Transcendence Homepage Transcendence Mods (if you're interested in that sort of thing)
Cue the boss battle music!!! I played Majora's Mask for a while... right before I sufferred a really bad crash and lost my save game I was put off by the time limit thing the first time I played it, but once you get past the introduction into the story, the game opens up and transforms into something of greatness. The time travel thing is really neat. It's like playing a part in the movie Groundhog Day! Except the main character is Zelda... and all the other characters look like characters from Ocarina of Time... because almost all of them are lol. Haven't played any past that tho, aside from the two on Game Boy Advance. Edit: Sorry for double posting. Can't figure out how to multiquote into an exsting reply...
I got my miss now playing the sniper 3D assassin game on her mobile. Every time I watch her on the phone she's blasting someone's head. thass a good girl.
I feel the exact same way. I haven't played any recent zelda though, I'd love to play one if it was good. After Ocarina of time it just started to deviate from what I felt a Zelda game was supposed to be like. There really should be a sequel to A link to the Past ... Somewhat ironically, I think that the SNES games emulated on my raspberry pi, with the right filters have a better picture, look "better", and more like how I remember it was really supposed to look back in the day. It's because SNES actually puts out a 240p video signal which looks fine on an analogue CRT, but the digital TVs fuck it up when they scale it and certain things don't look quite right. I doubt my raspberry pi could emulate an N64 game very well though ...
I believe Zelda: A Link between Worlds would be the sequel you are looking for. It's set in the exact same world as A Link to the past with some differences in the layout, new dungeons and new items. It's quite good, I highly recommend it.
Cool, thanks. I never had a 3DS, which is why I never played it, guess I'll have to emulate it. Would it be playable with an SNES controller?
I don't know if there are any good 3DS emulators out there, if there is I imagine you would be able to use an SNES controller with it. I use my SNES controller with just about every emulator with the exception of the N64 games.
n64 games pretty much require an n64 controller, anything else and it's just weird. You can use a NES controller just fine though for GB/GBC games, SNES for GBA. When I tried emulating n64 once it was glitchy, and I'm pretty picky ... unless it's a bug in the original game that happens on the original system. Some games use memory in really strange ways also, and if you try to save/restore state at just the right (really, wrong) place in the game, you can fuck yourself over. Happened to me with Super Mario RPG, using save/restore state to beat the puzzles .. ended up restoring myself to a state where all you could see was black and garbage, and the dead mario sprite which you could move around and make "jump" but you could never get back to the normal flow and was basically stuck like that forever. The cartridge save memory was also trashed, can't remember exactly what happened, it was either completely corrupted to where it didn't show up at all, or it would start in a bugged state that you couldn't get out of. My own guess is that the game programmers used memory addresses normally used for the SaveRAM after the game has been loaded. Remember that the game cartridge is HARDWARE, the people that make the cartridge can do whatever the fuck they want and map memory in weird ways, maybe doing bank switching behind the CPU's back.
I finally started Fallout and I have my character, a tall nord guy with long hair called Falcor. I made it out the vault and now in a really small town exploring. I like taking as much time as I need to explore in these games, soak it all in and find items. anyway, I wasn't as happy with the main storyline from what I've seen, like it's in the future, but they made it like the 50s?? Seemed lame. Also, I don't want my character to have a wife or a kid. That shit doesn't sit well with me at all.
is this your first fallout game? the whole series is based (loosely) on the 50s world of tomorrow/cold war propaganda.
No I played fallout 3 and tactics ages ago. And I know what theyre trying to do hehe =p like the old school towns they used to drop bombs near, like in the new Indiana Jones. Retro style. I just don't think it works with a house maid robot and techno gismos. Doesn't feel right is all.
