I have been playing it in small chunks. I tried playing the first chapter in small chunks. The lack of autosave and inability to save manually made sure I played the opening scene 3 times. Now I play it like I read a book....I just try to get to the next chapter...I wait for a save and I take advantage of it. I see myself moving on before I beat it if this continues. I have moved past the whole "playing the same level over and over again just to punish myself.
Ha almost forgot about that one...! I could pick it up right now and play it on my 360 as well, but I've been trying to postpone it to get the better looking next gen version on ps4 and I will probably continue to wait it out (until fricking november) Did you play the previous one that rebooted the franchise? I just love these kind of games! It's like playing through an indiana jones movie I was interested in this game when it was new but now not so much... I think it has aged already and I would be bothered by the limitations. The other games... no clue! Duh, that's the only way how to deal with a hard game I bet it's scary though?
No, I couldn't get into them and I lost a bit of interest in this one at the Siberian snow wilderness, the bear fight was fun but all the gathering and deer hunting kinda drags out.
I'm pretty sure that doesn't take long to get through! And after that it's probably mostly optional I couldn't get into most older Tomb raider games neither but I did like the one before Rise of the tomb raider. So I'm looking forward to this one as well! I expect more of the same (except better and more diverse locations)
slightly addicted to darkest dungeon at the mo, It's fun but theres a whole lot of grinding to be done before you can get anywhere, and I imagine that will begin to wear on me soon. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-mXN3akTPU REALLY looking forward to "We Happy Few" it has an intriguing plot and some really interesting gameplay mechanics. for example, if your character overdoses, the entire town will regenerate in a different pattern with characters changing names and personalities, in order to simulate the overdose scrambling your memory. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nkaUF5ckEzc
I know, the screen is so dark! The screen on the 3DS is super cool how it shows up in 3D without having to wear 3D glasses.
I killed a dear claw too which was kinda scary. Like a big raptor or something and I was disappointed with the damage of the mini gun. I put like 300 rounds into that fucker and he kept coming. Ahh! Anyway question: I got the power armor from these guys, a big rusty thing from 20.000 leagues under the sea. should I keep wearing it? It looks uncomfortable and bulky but I'm not sure if I should ditch it. A person also gave me like 59 fusion cells but I can't figure out how to use them in the armor? I exchange them over but my suit still reads empty. So will I find another one on my travels? I really like the look of my beautiful male character with long hair. seems a waste to cover him up.
Fusion cells are ammo for i think a laser rifle. Fusion cores are the fuel for your power armor and is harder to come by (at least in the early part of the game). This is the main reason not to overuse your power armor because it is very slow without fuel. But it still protects you against radiation. I would love to walk around and fight all the time in it if I had more fusion cores. Very convenient if you want to cross water, are in a radiation storm or when you get in an unexpected attack!
i never wear power armor in fallout games. i'm way too fashion conscious to responsibly outfit my character in effective armor. i also think it's weird how weak bullets are. nobody should survive 5 point blank shots to the face from any gun.
Kinda like how you can belt someone in Skyrim with an axe 15 times and it doesn't even cut off an arm but you can one shot a dragon with a bow.
I play mostly first person in fallout so i don't see how ridicilous my character might look. I'm all about functionality baby! That's why i wear a chefs hat when i'm in a settlement, because i noticed it increases charisma :-D But I find the look and feel of the power armor not bad at all! It's still entertaining besides just handy (if you have enough power cores). Anyway, i'm not far in at all but I already found a second power armor! A tip: if you do ditch your power armor its location remains visible on the map (so no need to find a spot you can remember). But if you find another one and get in it i think that one will be the only one on your map...
i play first person too, but i use a lot of VATS and your character is visible in the killing animation there (at least in 3 and new vegas, haven't started 4 yet). the power armor doesn't look bad if that's the character you play, but i've just never played a character that it would make sense on. i'm usually dressed as a fairly typical drifter type, except for the one time i played as a slutty woman character who wore some raider armor that consisted of a bra and short shorts.
I seem to be picking up and collecting lots of stuff without being encumbered by it yet. I can't seem to play First Person with a keyboard and mouse, my reaction times are appalling without it.
Oh yeah, that's another advantage of the power armor: you can carry more stuff. Btw: it is very handy to be in your power armor when you're roaming new areas and get under attack, but take a look at it's status after a heavy attack: it needs maintenance! Another reason to use it wisely and not just all the time (it gets broken) Haven't played a game with keyboard and mouse in years because it sucks if you don't use it often and once you're used to a controller. You must have a good pc (another reason I don't play big games on the pc )! Yeps, same in 4. And you're right, I have at times been unpleasantly suprised by my character's appearance when that animation turned up haha
Btw: I noticed there's a free to play version of PES 2016. My friend downloaded it on the ps4 and we've been playing it most of sunday night. I might go with it myself too (after all its for free ). Only thing holding me back from getting into this game is that 50% of it seems to be about managing your team (buying/selling and adjusting players etc.) and not just about playing a soccer match with fixed skills. So if you're playing online against another person he might have a big advantage because they spend a lot of effort in getting a great team. I just want to have it depend on how well you can think and use your controller during the game....
