oh wow i just took a man to a huge city to the doctor and then watched him get his arm cut off lol. I'm not ready for big city life so I got the hell outta there. I accidentally drew my pistol and fired too so I fleed lol. But yep, not ready for city life.
Yep that's Saint Denis. A bit going on there but i left it alone for a while too. Was happy cruising round the countryside. Plenty of gators to kill there too but
The problem with Saint Denis is.... its full of french(ophiles) Ah, first time there eh! Yeah, big suprise first time. Didn't expect such a city AT ALL! Lol yeah, that happening was discussed on here earlier. If you just leave after dropping him off at the docs you miss that extra part. Really nice how the doc actually performs the procedure. That's the kind of detail that makes this game superb And... the first time i entered Saint Denis I had the exact same thought as you! Wow looks nice but... im rather here when i need to or am ready for it. It's fun you have the choice in a sandbox game like this though, that you have the choice to explore at leisure, also areas you haven't been in for the story yet. Well, except for the area past Blackwater... but that's a real treat when you can go there too (no spoilers)!
Tonight I attempted a house robbery from these black folks south of Rhodes. A prisoner told me about it. Well the dad and his son was having a domestic argument. I was spotted by the son so I left him in the hallway before knocking down the dad then proceeded to rob the house but I dunno I couldn't find anything of interest there. Kinda annoying. So I went back home cause my guy kept pausing like he was energy drained or something. Stumbled into someone camping who didn't want me there. Blew him away and stole his horse then a lady needed help, but ended up having 3 backup guys. I dunno what they were thinking cause I drew my Sawed off double barrel and just laid those clowns down.
You have to use eagle eye in those houses too. They often hide something behind a brick in the wall, under the floor, in the chimney, etc. I recall the house and situation you mention, but not where they hid their valuables...
I've started just playing the game properly now and by that I mean just starting fights and stuff. I'll help convicts and snake bites but I've tried being nice for too long now. Time to start blasting. I also found my 2nd dismembered body to try and solve but I'm pretty sure I followed to the map to a church in which Arthur found interesting but didn't know why and I couldn't find anything there either. I'll use the dead eye next time. But I did find the umm the other dead eye, I push the right Analogue stick in when I'm aiming.
Though I do have to wonder if some of the people I've killed were meant to do something later on lol. Like with that house I picked up a letter from the boy to his mother which Arthur kept so I assume there was a mission to give that to the kids mother, but now he's dead in the hallway which I kind of feel bad about, but he made a big commotion that I was inside, so I had to gun the boy down. Him and his father.
Yeah, I often had that feeling too. I played the honourable way as i most often do on first playthroughs. Just so you have smaller chance missing such stuff. When i went on a killing spree or try to rob something as succesful as possible (like the docs back office in Valentine) i usually saved first. Sometimes i went on after it, but for when i find out afterwards there's an unwanted consequence i can redo. This is how I mostly played until like chapter 5. After that i began to get less patience and just go with whatever happened. Also because i figured most of the possible consequences out by then and i didn't mind them anymore (achieved max. honor).
I've still yet to rob a stage coach. Do you get much loot from them? I do remember like a year ago there's a place somewhere on the map you can sell them at. Another thing too I find difficult is like in skyrim if I select a mission then all the waypoints are on the map for that mission but in this game I find it more difficult. Like the house robbery, I had to find the house myself which was easy as come to think of it. South of Rhodes. I just went south and there it was but I wasn't sure if it was the right house just that robbery mission went missing after I did my business so it must have been the right house.
robbing stage coaches can be lucrative early in the game, but it definitely doesn't hold up later on. i never really bothered except when required for a mission or a challenge. you can sell them to the fence at emerald ranch, but unless you steal them from right outside emerald ranch the reward is not worth the time it takes to get them there. i'm not sure about the waypoints. i never really had a hard time finding anything, except for things that were supposed to be hard to find like the treasure maps. and those stupid collectibles like dinosaur bones or dream catchers; i think i've stumbled across one of each in all the time i've played. i think i remember seeing that there's four different endings depending on your honor and a decision you make at the end. the high honor ending is the best for storyline purposes, but it's real easy to gain honor at the end of the game so you don't really need to worry about it until then anyway. i did high honor the first time, low honor the second, and now i'm just doing whatever i feel like. which has left me pretty much neutral so far.
and because timing is funny like that, i just found a dinosaur bone tonight. and it was in a place i've explored a bunch of times, because i always thought it seemed like there should be more there than there was. i also just took that guy to get his arm cut off at the doctor. really early in the story; i'm still in chapter 2. but i ran into him after killing billy midnight. i tried to antagonize the doctor into a fight after the amputation, but he eventually just stopped talking to me.
He yelled at me to get out from behind his counter. I wanted to shoot him, but I figure I might need him later.
Was roaming in online mode and encountered and helped a wagon train. First time i encountered one. They had circled the wagons and were under attack by bandits. If I didn't drank a health potion in between the shooting i would have died (deadeye works different in online due to the time can't be slowed). Great random encounter!
Haha. I fed an alligator a tied up person, it bit his head off. Then I got pinged for murder so I blew him away and then every 30 seconds people would come to investigate. I left a mound of dead bodies everywhere. My wife said I had turned feral.
I played starfighter assault in Battlefront 2 (Star wars game) online with 2 friends tonight. Although i wreack havoc in space battles regularly (and lately more often with one mate too), i rarely am in a game with 2 people i know. Hope that other guy joins in more often as well! It was great fun
All this talk of interesting video games... I'll probably get hooked on games, lose my job, and get divorced. Can Battlefront 2 be played on Xbox also?
