What got YOU interested in drugs?

I could see in my head a little bit with intense meditation/zoning. So i decided to break it open. What i saw scared and intrigued me. Here I am. Altering my mind temporarily.

 

ya I was looking for a mystical experience, which led to Robert Anton Wilson and Tim Leary, which led to nutmeg a couple years ago, and now here I am. Hell, I just ate some marijuana an hour ago.

 

i am 16 an last year i grew fascinated at the thought of reaching a higher consciousness, iv done shrooms once but only did 1.75 grams, and am an avid marijuana user

 

all the people telling me not to...and all the Bull Shit they feed you about em.

 

the fact that you can be in a different mind state, the positive effects of any drug, the party scene, the friends...everything really

 

because everyone else was doing it...

my sister got me stoned for the first time, so she's what brought me into the world of weed, but it was the internet (sites like erowid, this one, wikipedia, etc.) that got me interested in psychedelics.

 

I figure since I'm a n00b I'll have to post my story.

This is where my story begins. About 12 years old. I would always hang out with my aunt while she smoked her "marijuana". And from what I remember I probably had a small buzz. All these times being around her smoking, I figured one day I would try it. But I wasn't pushing to see that day. I decided I would let that day come. I meet some new people, word is going around. I have pot smoking friends and I didn't even know. One day I get a call asking if I wanna come over and toke. Of course I said yes. LoL. We went to this children center during the night and weant inside one of those little tikes playhouses. How 4 people of our size fit in that thing I'll never know. But of course we did know how to roll and we didn't have a nice glass bowl. We had the tinfoil bowl. I'm sure a lot of you have been there.

We then proceeded to hotbox this little playhouse. And as soon as we walked out I felt somehow different. Not too noticable but I most certainly felt good. So we then went for a walk behind these buildings towards some train tracks. We have a race. And of course my high ass has to slip and fall on some ice(was winter time). And to this day I still get made fun of for that. But any who that was my first time smoking. Then in the following month or two. One of the people I smoked with asked I would wanted to try alcohol. I said sure. Had a blast at a party but in the end, I got sick. Drinking was never an option for me. I drink once in a great while. Hardly ever. Then what really got me interested in expanding my experiences, was erowid.org. How I came across the site I will never know. See to me weed and alcohol were the only things out there. Boy was I wrong. See this website had this list of things I had never heard of. So curiosity took over and I found something called magical mushrooms. Now I would never dare think of trying anything else besides pot or alcohol. But gawsh these mushrooms do sound neat. After months of researching(and months of looking). I found a mushroom dealer. To me this was monumental. So me and my friend who introduced me to alcohol decided to buy some shrooms. I eat 3 grams he only eats 2. Now reading up on these things I thought I knew what to expect. But of course I was wrong. We smoked some weed before eating them.

I went from being completely stoned to just amazed by how fast my perception had changed. Now looking back on that night it feels like a dream. But that is pretty much my story I don't even know if I can post this many characters but oh well. Oh I had been debating on acid for awhile but I went ahead and picked up 2 tabs anyway. And E was kinda spur of the moment I guess I'll try it thing. But yup. Lol Sorry for going on I just felt like typing out the story of my drug use. Oh and keep in mind I've been smoking ciggarettes since I was about 12 years old. Addiction sucks.

Ummm for me... I'd have to say I liked alcohol a little bit too much (when I first tried drinking last year), and experimenting with recreational doses of sleeping pills (Diphenhydramine) (over the summer). Then I really started becoming interested in hallucinogens so I started a quest to find acid.

Found it (acid), did it, could only compare it to the high of alcohol at first (since you know, it was the only high I knew). And was like cool, things arent spinning, they're BREATHING. Then the part about your mind state kicked in (the part I didn't research so well), and then my mind went plop and the visuals hit me hardcore. Everytime I've tried acid since I must of had said to myself I'm going to do it in a controlled area where I can actually experience it full-on without any worries, (still haven't).

And then LSD made me hate alcohol to an extent. No interest in opiates, no interest in weed unless it's to enhance the acid's effects, no interest in any hallucinogens weaker than LSD, though I've learned other hallucinogens can be a totally different experience.

Still love deliriants, am going to mess around with datura when I get the time and propper shit together (mainly a safety issue, not going to use that shit irresponsibly). Then that's about as far as I go. I'd also love to try any RC's that are comparable to LSD, but have no clue where to get them.

I don't know, when I first heard about drugs, for some reason I had a fascination with visually distorted reality. Hallucinations are what I like. That's it I guess.

 

at age 14 i had a dream that i smoked pot. The next day i told my buddy and we toked up!!! Good times! from there i tried shrooms four or five times. DXM 4 times (done with that stupid crap haha) Just tried LSD for my first time a couple of weeks ago and loved it! I will be doin it again this weekend! Prolly will do it more after that. I want to try peyote, mescaline, dtm, any 2C any kind of psychodelic i will try except pcp.

 

When I was 15, I was working at the movie theatre and I had to work 2-12 Around 10 I was beat and a friend of mine had some coke he got from his older bro and we went in the bathroom and each did a line on the tp holder in one of the stalls <~First drug experience. The next day I smoked weed with him and the rest, is history.......

If I remember this correctly...I started smoking when I was 18 (still do.) I think I did it as a "fit in" thing. Then I over heard a conversation about snorting adderal. And I was perscribed at the time. 15 mg. So I went home and tried it. I fell in love. I would take massive ammounts, stay awake for days, not eatting or sleeping or sometimes even moving from where I was. I would just write. Poems, Stories, Spoken-word pieces, everything. Then I got into pot. And then a friend gave me shrooms, for free. And then I knew I wanted to get higher. And since the shrooms, I've done X twice. It's hard to find good drugs in my area.

 

Peer pressure. Simple and easy.

I actually became interested in drugs when I first heard the Rolling Stones song "Mothers' Little Helper... Then, a few months later, Newsweek magazine came out with its first articles on hippie culture and LSD, and the rest as they say,,,,is history...............

 

So 2 summers ago (between 8th-9th grade) I started listening to Bob Marley lol. So I looked him up and whatnot like I often do with any musician I like, and of course that led to stuff about marijuana and how it wasn't actually that bad. i found out no one ever died from it, and the REAL reason it became illegal. So I thought "Really?? I wanna try it then!" So I became obsessed with finding it and actually didn't until September of this year. In the meantime, I started researching all kinds of drugs, and tried nutmed, DXM, diphenhydramine and that bullshit, then I got reaaaal lucky over this past summer and found 13 Vicodin :drool:.
I also got drunk several times (another thing I felt I had been "missing out" on for a while since it seemed like everyone had drank before but me). I've always been interested in altering my conciousness, but was, like many kids, afraid of the idea of using drugs to acheive that. Now my motto on drug use is "If I get high and I wont die, then I will try"

 

I was on ritalin from the 5th grade till the 8th grade and from the 8th grade till senior year of high school, I switched to Aderall. I never liked being on those pills, and when I tried weed for my first time i the 10th grade, I liked it. I've tried a whole galaxy of other stuff, but never liked them much. I do some meth from time to time, but other than that I dont touch much drugs other than smoke pot when I have lots of free time and no school haha.

 

that's basically my exact experience. it's like since i was such a quiet, sheltered kid, i was naturally curious of the illicit.
