Although I was raised on jazz and classical, I didn't start my obsession with music until I started listening to Nirvana, Hole, Babes in Toyland, and other such loud 90's grunge bands when I was about eleven. Shortly after that I discovered Rasputina and took up learning the cello, and two years after that I discovered Tori Amos and the piano and seriously took up music. Ever since then I've learned to love everything from psychedelic music to klezmer and music has become my biggest passion in the world.
I think the first band I ever fell in love with was the Lunachicks after my bro had given me a Go-Kart Records compilation when I was mad young. He totally corrupted me at an early age
I got interested in music when I heard my old neighbor play flute. I haven't seen her since I moved away 13 years ago. Also, my parents would play a lot of classic rock when me and my brothers were kids.
