It's sad that this thread had to be trolled on, but I think it still has hope (yeah, right).

I think a hippie is very hard to define. In my terms, a hippie is somebody who is true to themselves and by doing that, their views of life seperate them from mainstream society.

 

you have to admit that people label others all the time, but then again people label themselves. its ok to do that to yourself becuz u know urself and the other people probably dont. So anyway i think a hippie is someone who has respect for all forms of life, the earth, people, animals. love, peace and understanding are important. those are just some things that make someone a hippie
