WHat is an ounce of shrooms worth to you?

It sucks that you can't get spores in CA. I can buy 20X salvia in a venice beach smoke shop but can't order spores. I will be up in Seattle in a month. There is a smoke shop in Pike Place Market that sells various spore prints,(for microscopic research) plus kits, grain bags, ect. The kits are for legal mushrooms.

 

I think I'd trade half an ounce of weed for an ounce of shrooms.
that would probably be about equal, plus shrooms are more dense than bud.

dont bother buying a "kit". just get the spore syringe and follow the PF tek with a shotgun terrarium. you dont even need a pressure cooker if you sterilizre the jars with a 3hr boiling.

mushrooms are rediculously quick and easy to grow. I can grow 3oz of mushrooms in 1/3 the space and time required for 3oz of bud. The initial investment is fairly low, and if you make your own prints/syringes, itll only cost about 10-20$ to buy the ingredients for subsequent grows that are capable of yielding several oz

 

Density has what to do with anything? The volume is unimportant, you're weighing shit.

I can't get a syringe. All this store has are prints. I'm CA so ordering any spores online is off limits. Nobody has the balls to ship. So..unless I get a P.O. box in Seattle and receive a perfectly timed rush delivery, I can't get a sterile syringe. I used to live in Seattle. That is how I know about he place, (not like they hide it). Iv'e grown before. I looked up info on PF tech and bought the kit for my first time anyways. I worked and I learned a lot, then did it again without the kit. It's easy and they grow fast. If I can wait for acid to come around, I can def wait a 3 weeks for a 70 dollar ounce of shrooms.

 

It wasn't an analogy at all. And I don't any dealer who would accept that trade. Unless the shrooms we're talking about are shiitake.

because theyre so easy to grow anything more than $5 a gram is extortion. Anything less than $5 a gram really isnt worth the growers time IMO. (Assuming the grower is growing mushrooms to peak potency, rather than peak weight.)

I could have twice the yield and half the potency, but as myself and my friends are the ones consuming it weight isnt important, quality is.

In short im pretty set on $5 a gram, at this price $20 gets you zooming like a madman. (3grams is where I usually put my limit on homegrown shrooms)

 

So when exactly is peak potency? Some bums I overheard mentioned growing shrooms and I wondered what the optimum harvest-time would be.

how do you know thats when they reach peak potency? is there a link with info on bullets and peak potency???

The peak potency is a theory if anything, theres no lab evidence to support either side.

The theory (according to me) goes like this. After a mushroom breaks the veil it starts to go into spore producing mode and the production of the alkaloids stops or at least slows to the point of diminishing results as the mushroom grows larger.

Theres two camps on the issue, those that say that it dosent matter when you harvest (bigger the better) and those like myself who feel that there is a loss of quality (concentration of alkaloids) after the veil breaks.

My personal experience has been that I have to eat a much greater quantity of mushrooms that have grown well into the spore producing stage to achieve the same effects.

The trips ive had on shrooms that ive grown myself and harvested within 0-8 hours of the veil breaking have been the best.

Im sorry I stated the harvest technique of harvesting just before or after the veil breaking as a fact. There seems to be no scientific evidence on the subject, only personal experiences.

 

apparently the pins (<inch mushrooms) are the most potent by weight.

 

if you are getting a quarter for 300 yo might as well grow your own... that a fucking rip. im sorry but damn. here in socal(shrooms dont grow here) a 1/4 # is about 200.

back in florida i was paying 100 a 1/4 #.

maybe ive been lucky though
