Humanity, Humility, Enlightenment . . . these three, together, are Hippy Nature. Hippy Nature realizes all life is family.
You may have taken me out of context. Doesn't really matter coz hippy nature is to suffer the misinformed. Be well man. Peace
Listening to the still , small voice inside of you and following it , even if logic tells you to go the other way....thats hippy nature.
Hippie nature is conscious. Expanding consciousness, to be more to the point. Hippies were so named because they/we/you were "Hip" or, conscious. Hippie nature is awareness, knowing, tuning in, becoming more conscious of a higher, greater reality. This is what Timothy Leary meant when he said "Tune in, turn on, drop out." This is why "Consciousness-expanding" drugs played a part in the Hippie movement. This is why some of the most memorable "Hippie Music" had lyrics like: "Are You Experienced?" "Feed your head" "Life flows on within you and without you" "Well maybe it's the time of year, Or maybe it's the time of man, I dont know who l am, But life is for learning" and even "And no one called us to the land, And no one knows the where's or why's Something stirs and something tries, Starts to climb toward the light." Expanding Consciousness IS Hippie Nature. It could be argued that the pleasures, the Ideals, the "Causes" of the Hippie Movement - Sex, Drugs, Rock & Roll, Peace and Love, Free Speech, Civil Rights, Environmentalism, Vegetarianism, and many others - were "Hippie" only when they led to expanded consciousness. This is why consciousness-expanding drugs like pot and acid are considered hippie drugs, while meth is not. This is why the consciousness-expanding music of Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, The Incredible String Band and The Grateful Dead are considered hippie music, while Black Sabbath, Sonny and Cher and Lawrence Welk is not . . . (though, I do love Black Sabbath). One could prove this point eternally. Peace and Love
Yep, I've been collecting Consciousness most my life. Not taking yourself to seriously is Hippy Nature.
