RIP Gerry Marsden

What, is Gerry Marsden gone? I wrote a piece about Gerry and the Pacemakers and through that, I met up with a fellow who told me he used to play with them before they got a contract. He told me about him and Gerry hiding under the back seats to "cadge a free ride, like, across t'river".
That fellow is gone now, too.
I'm sorry to hear it. Sam said "Gerry were a good skin".

 

Sad news. I met Gerry a few times.

 

Never did, though I once saw him onstage, in a rock and roll revival show. Herman's Hermits were there too.
It is sad news.
