There are as many meanings to life as their are people who have lived, are alive, and will live. However there is only one moment, and that is right now. Your memories of the past and your hopes and fears for the future which constitute your personality only exist in the present. The present is thousandths of a microsecond, but the present is also encompassing eternity, all at the same *time*. Being Here Now is being able to realize that you can not exist the present and that in fact, the only difficult part of recognizing it is the rewinding of your manifested personality. Trace the source of your existance by following the energy backwards through the nerves. When you can stop answering the call of external/mental stimuli, you will see the beauty in the moment as every situation. I am not an atheist, nor a believer in *God*. What I call God is that which transcends transcendence. I have looked at life from the point of being nothing at heart, and looked at life as being love at heart. There is a state of One you can attain to by existing without concepts, opinions, and judgements. I have tapped that state a few times, but also felt an overwhelming presence of Love that is beyond any kind of words, and can only be shared through action. That Love is what I call God, though I know that it is only a level of emanation that we can experience and not the totality of that which is not able to be contained. God Bless ~
I'm sorry my sweet Boog... My thoughts about life are all over the place, I tend to think life is all about learning, learning about ourselves and explore our inner depths I guess.. As I get older I find that my view on life and the world changes, which I find very neat and fascinating, sure most my thoughts are the same I just see the world and life differently as I age... You just got to hop on the life train and let it take you to which ever journey you choose...
I think that is the funniest part of the spiritual path, you know? Of all spiritual paths that take themselves seriously. I realize that many people probably view the way I describe God and Love and meditation etc. as pretentious and think me as either a fool or as considering myself to be supreme or intelligent. But that's ok, you know? Because I know how to laugh, and I laugh everyday, very many times a day. It is as they say in Tibet "A yogi is measured by how loud he laughs." There is no meaning to life outside of what us as individuals give it. We do, however, all exist right now and can make life much more enjoyable in many different ways. When live in a state of becoming, wether it is becoming more mature, becoming closer to God, becoming closer to enlightenment, or whatever, we are missing the point. That kind of spiritual discipline is actually taken from boarding schools and boy temples and has for it's orient a strict mechanical nature bent on forcing us into a machine, only not a social machine meant to make a lot of money, but rather one to conform to superstitious submission. Life is only truly happening in a way that is positive when we just live it, and love it. It is one thing to have compassion for other people, and yet another to have true love for everyone, including yourself. God Bless ~
