i had some essentially plain brown rice and lentils (clove of garlic in the pot, a touch of pepper and chili powder), a small amount of leftover roast chicken with the skin removed, and a half a grapefruit
baked Mushroom artichoke stuffed chicken breast with a corn bread crunchy crust, aspragus and mac and cheese.
oysters on the half shell and blackened shrimp caesar salad. Seafood is the only meat I eat and dammit I love it.
I can almost hear your growling tummy. Grilled cheese sandwich with tomatoes, garlic, and turkey bacon.
Haha, I'm wayyyyyy too lazy to cook right now. I'll probably just wait and make eggs in the morning :cheers2:
haha how'd the grilled cheese turn out? sounds yummy. It's also good with jack cheese tomatoes and poblano peppers :drool5:
Uh huh :toetap05:, I think you're totally gonna wake up in the middle of the night and cop some pop-tarts
I did use jack cheese! no peppers tho I must thank you and Nesta for the idea, it was so nice I made it TWICE!!
Tonight we're having a post independence day BBQ. Me and some chums are grilling ribeyes, burgers, and spicy hot links. Side dishes are baked beans, macaroni salad, and watermelon. We're outside, the night is gorgeous, got some stogies and a case of Negra Modelo.
Breakfast for dinner tonight. Basically that means I'm having a bacon, scrambled egg, and cheese sandwich. Wooo!
Damn I miss LA barbecues. Chez moi: Steak salad. Grilled feather steaks sliced and laid on a bed of mixed lettuce (no iceberg, thanks) and some perfectly ripe cherry tomatoes. Seasoned with a bit of salt and pepper and dressed with some english apple balsamic vingar mixed with lebanese olive oil and served with a chilled glass of Jacob's Creek 2007 reserve chardonnay. Never had feather steak before, but saw some on special. its a nice cut, definitely will do it again.
i, yet again, roasted a chicken for dinner. made mashed potatoes and gravy with it, all homemade. for veggies i had frozen corn and lima beans, mixed. not the best, but it was tastey enough. the chicken and the mashed potatoes and gravy were fucking AWESOME though!! i'm so happy i found out how cheap chickens are, and potatoes are cheap as hell, too. just had an almost-midnight snack....reheated chicken smothered in hot sauce 5 bucks for a big chicken, under 2 bucks for a big bag of potatoes
diced chicken breast cooked slow with chopped celery, water chestnuts, crushed chili peppers and a little curry spice
