just does seem like an odd name for a fried chicken place, considering the character its named after, was all about eating canned spinnich raw out of the can. and he was always around boats, and thus presumably fish. so i'd sort of expect, and be dissapointed that its not, more like a fish and chips place that you could also get a side of spinich. he did have a friend named wimpy, who was always eating hamburgers. and there was, a long time ago, maybe still is, but i've almost never seen any, a chain called wimpy's. but maybe the name sounds too much like windy's and isn't exactly an epic draw.
well, there's a subway on every block, so you never have to worry about the travel time getting there.
I have to say I am a Wendy's fan. Their food is always fresh, (for fast food) and I can alsways count on their chili to warm me up on those cold winter nights. (Besides a man of course, that's always the better option).
It wouldn't kill them to expand into other markets! What makes them so much better than other fast food chains? I've always wondered this.
Actually they have them in Nevada and Arizona. Also in Dalls, TX I think. you'll have to visit one to find out i really hope they dont expand and become like a fucken mcdonalds or some shit.
Kebab stores. Just gimmie a lamb kebabs with garlic mayo and BBQ sauce. I take it home. Microwave it, mmmm it's the shit.
I'm not too picky. I frequent McDonald's, Popeye's, BK, Wendy's every now and then. My favorite: Italian pizza. I try to avoid KFC. Everything feels greasy and nasty.
It has very good bang for its buck. They use fresher ingredients than most fast food chains as well. The only one in Oregon isn't too far from me.
Fish and chips without fish? So just chips? I didnt bother translating that first part Arent really, just you feel it more there, nasty
Just google it and you have a good pic. Dutch chip stands or snackbars don't have fish. Just the best frites (patat). Oorlog is the dutch word for war and applies to the 'sauce': a mix of mayo and warm satay sauce. Frikandel is basically some kind of grinded meat put in a sauasage like shape, its called special if you get it with a mix of onions, mayo and curry sauce. Some people use ketchup instead of curry... If you like fastfood in this country you are in for a treat. Sure we have macs and kfc and the like but the snacks and variety in the snackbar are really quite curious. Haven't seen it in any other country. I think you would prefer a kroket above a frikandel. Most foreigners do.
^ Some dutch insist onions are part of a classic patatje oorlog. It's a culture clash. They're on the wrong side btw! I also wouldn't order one if i know they'll drop the sauce on top of the frites (especially stupid in those pointy paper bags!). Which most don't do because most snackbars serve it in those baskets/containers with separate room for the sauces.
wonder how many of you Europeans know that the food at fast food restaurants are different than what they have here. at least thats what i have read. have yet to see anyone deny it so i will go with that as fact. so it just makes me wonder if you like mickys there would you like it here or if you dont like it there maybe you would like it here.
