i have a stack of vinyl here, fave would be the original 1968 pressing of The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Electric Ladyland (naked ladies cover)
I've got alot of beatles albums on vinyl..can't recal which ones but i know sgt peppers and abbey rd are in there. Alot of rolling stones, some clapton, cream and more. Mst belonged to my mom and a few are my dads.
I have this album with this cover. After the plane crash they rereleased it with this picture which was on the back.
Not much anymore...... I moved at one point and took a backpack, one guitar and an amp. Left over 500 albums behind, all original pressings from the 60's and 70's..... along with all the rest of my stuff. Sometimes we just have to do these things.
I have original pressings of King Diamond's Fatal Portrait, Vio-Lence's Eternal Nightmare, Accept's I'm A Rebel and Manowar's Hail to England.
I had that one also, until it was stolen. I have a Krokus LP (from 1986 in near mint cond.) with only three songs on it. On the back is a gold stamp that says: "LOANED FOR PROMOTION ONLY- Not For Sale- Ownership And All Rights Reserved" I don't remember how I got it, but for all of these years I figured it was worth alot, somehow. Because of this thread I looked it up online just now to see how much it could be worth. I was hoping for hundreds, or maybe even a thousand bucks. I found one at a record store in the UK. The site said: "last one left.. 19.95, US dollars" All of those years guarding it and babying it.. $19.95 .. WTF!? That's about how much a frisbee is right? Who wants to play Krokus frisbee!?
rare: Mark James - Mark James (1973) Mark James only made one album and it didn't even sell very well. great songs, good production, heavy quiet vinyl and still not available on CD. Mark James is better known for writing the songs Always On My Mind & Suspicious Minds which were hits for Elvis Presley. value: Neil Young - Time Fades Away (1973) The German pressing I have is listed on Discogs from $26 for a VG copy up to $75 for a mint copy . though it's not a good recording and only 3 songs are worth to be heard it is valuable because the album isn't (and will never be) released on CD.
Strange coincidence: Whipped Cream was the very first album I ever bought. Must have been in the mid-sixties. I don't have it anymore. But I do still have almost all the LPs I bought thru 1986 or so.
we had that herb lp in our house growing up....i wish i had known they would be valuable some day we also had this rare lp
