Only ten minutes? That's hardly any fun though. Not even worth going to the beach for 10 minutes of swimming.
Well, that was meant for the person whos skin dries out in the water. Obviously you can stay in there for as long as you want. Swim a little, sit under the sun a little bit, run along the shore line. There, you just killed three birds with one stone

This is skincare for hair, so haircare. Anyways, this morning, or yesterday morning... I made a deep hair mask consisting of chocolate powder, coconut, clay, oil blend, and a raw egg (whole). I really like how it made my hair. That is all.
I've been thinking lately that oils aren't doing it for me in the wintertime, I have very dry skin in cold weather and my skin absorbs the oils so fast then it's dry again. so I went online to look for a Burt's Bees moisturizer I used to use a long time ago that gave me pretty much perfect skin, I don't know why I ever stopped using it honestly. But it looks like they don't make it anymore there are other options but I've tried another Burt's Bees moisturizer before and it didn't work nearly as well as the one I used to use so I'm hesitant to try another so I came here looking for advice. Does anyone know of a truly wonderful moisturizer? OR, I was wondering if I should just try something like shea butter? Cocoa butter burned my face once after extended use so that's out.
I actually do eat a fair bit of fat, lots of butter, a few avocados a week, olive oil on salads and in pasta, animal fat, etc. It doesn't really help, I just have dry skin unless the weather is humid I think after looking at some ingredients on a few organic moisturizers, I am just going to make my own. I am filling my amazon cart up with ingredients as we speak!
Weleda Skin Food Avene Hydrance Optimale Legere/Riche Avene Cicalfate, when one needs it I have yet to find an Avene product I don't like. Their thermal water spray is a must have, always in my bag (the smallest bottle)
I always rotate a few moisturizers. Currently - Avene, Dr.Pasha, Annemarie Borlind. Oh and avocado oil. But like Meliai, oils just don't seem enough atm. I rotate them nightly, I find it works perfectly for me. Also, sheet masks. Lost of them. Love them <3 I want to try some Dermalogica and PC stuff, but no money for that atm.
Lush Celestial was also a good one. Oh and Lush Oatifix mask is wonderful, I don't think one even needs a moisturizer after that. Yeah, I need to get me some Oatifix, I highly recommend it.
Thanks piaf! I'll look into these. Definitely going to try the mask, i've been searching for a good mask
I have dry skin and psoriasis, so I totally know how you feel about oils just disappearing. It almost feels like the skin is thristy and every drop just turns into smoke as soon as it comes into contact with skin. That's why I hardly ever use straight oil as a moisturizer, besides my three "sunscreen" oils, and good ol' coconut oil. I normally make a homemade moisturizer or I use raw butters. Pretty much any oil can be turned into a butter, so pick your favorite oil and get the raw butter version of it. For example, avocado oil is really good for dry skin. It's fucking amazing. So, avocado butter is awesome. That or just smearing an actual avocado on any area that is extremely dry works too. It's so fucking amazing. If you ever had really, really dry skin... I think you will understand.
I think I have the opposite problem of ya'll: my skin is so greasy! It's tough to find a product that keeps the oiliness at bay while also nurturing my skin. Currently, I just wash my face in the morning and evening. Occasionally I apply some sort of mask or cream, but it's always a random one I find on sale. Haven't found a great product that I swear by yet.
I agree with you, it seems like HIP has a lot of dry skinned ladies... people. But, go on Youtube... everyone is oily there. I hardly ever come across someone that has dry skin.
