Ahhhh now I'm tempted to order that too. I just ordered these: avocado oil (I use that a lot, looove it) wheat germ oil apricot kernel oil I'll probably share half of these with my mom, I have enough empty bottles. I'm obsessed with oils atm, I avoided them before, but they suit my skin so well. Hopefully these new will be good to me too. Oh and I ordered this too:
About ten years ago I developed a sensitivity to a lot of products and a friend suggested Elizabeth Grant's line. They are fragrance free. I have used them since and love the products, especially her caviare line. They are a bit pricey but you also only need to use a minuscule amount, so it is not so bad.
Will do, when it arrives. So you put oil, and then foundation...and it's not too...oily? I'll give it a try.
I've been using it for a few days now (not under make up, just in the evening). It's weird, it's sort of...natural under eyes filler effect, if that makes sense? I like it, I think. Another question....is anyone here into Asian (Korean, I think) skincare routine?? 10 or 11 steps???
Is this the wheat germ oil your talking about? I'm interested if it has an eye filler effect. I'm sure you've all seen my horrendous eye bags in pictures before.
Yes, wheat germ oil! I've seen your pics, but there was nothing horrendous! You might give that oil a try though, if you'd like to. For me, I have to make sure it stays under my eyes (I highly recommend it for that certain area), because it kind of makes the rest of my face red. But then again, apparently we shouldn't put a single oil on our faces, but instead mix them up together. I have different oils atm, but I just don't know how much of each oil to put in the mix? Also, I've been reading about Korean skincare, and I am probably going to switch to that. I found free shipping sites, yay.
I guess I'll have to post a pic someday of me without makeup then you'll see. I'm going to look for some wheat germ oil now though and see how that works! If I can get the texture under my eyes smoothed out enough, concealer can do the rest. Also, I added apple cider vinegar back into my skincare routine. I mixed it half and half with some water, and it made a really nice refreshing toner. The bottle stays in the fridge, so it doesnt go bad, and i only mixed a small amount for a week or 2 of use. I still love my witch hazel toner, but this stuff is so much cheaper. I think it softens my skin more than the witch hazel does too.
Can anyone recommend a good sunscreen for face? It's going to be a hot summer and I will be outside a lot. I won't be using make up (I almost never do in summer, especially when I get a tan), so I need a really good sunscreen....now that I am not that young anymore. I am looking into Asian (Korean) skincare products, so if you're familiar, do recommend.
I've been using a Lancôme SPF 30 sunscreen cream. My mother in law gave it to me. As far as sunscreen for my face goes, it is the best product I have ever used. Previously, I used Vichy on my face, and that worked well too. The Lancôme is not oily at all, and I find it to be very moisturizing, For a facial cleanser, I have been using honey mixed with a bit of water, and coconut oil for moisturizer. So far, it is working quite well, however it doesn't work as a makeup remover, so I use cleansing cloths to take off my makeup (if I'm wearing makeup), then wash my face the with the honey and water.
I need a good sunscreen as well, not just for my face but something water resistant for my whole body with high quality ingredients. Most sunscreens are loaded with chemicals that arent good for your skin. Also, i have started using apple cider vinegar as a toner and I love it. I had a pimple come up and it went away 2 hours after putting acv on it. Amazing. But it also makes me smell like a salt and vinegar potato chip.
ACV alone, or diluted with water? Mornings or evenings or both? About sunscreens...I have that Bioderma tinted cream (SPF50), but it makes my face too shiny...plus I want something normal, not tinted. Thanks Ash for the suggestions. I am not a Vichy fan at all, but I'll google that Lancome. Oh also...I ordered a Japanese toner/lotion, for like $12. It was recommended to me by a woman with beautiful skin, and it apparently saves her from these hot summer days. She has sensitive/dry to normal skin like mine.
Here's something for you coconut oil fans (and there are plenty here): http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-3150713/52-year-old-mother-appears-twenties-reveals-stays-youthful.html
