I dont dilute it. And I apply it at night to avoid going to work smelling like a salt and vinegar potato chip lol. Also thanks for the sunscreen suggestion, i will check it out
Do you guys know that you can also mix a tablespoon or two of ACV in water and drink it? yes the taste is kinda hard to get over at first but its not THAT bad. When I used to have acne it really helped if I did this twice per day. I still drink it sometimes and it only takes a few days of continuous use for my face to kinda start 'glowing'. If you are going to do this, drink it through a straw because ACV is really acidic and will fuck your teeth up.
I cant really stand the taste in water but I use it mixed with olive oil as a salad dressing a couple of times a week.
hmm. I used to mix it with a bit of honey in water when i first started drinking it to mask the taste. Worked pretty well. I would give it a shot if I were you as I think it works better then putting it directly on your skin. And you also dont have to deal with your bathroom and face smelling like shit.
Do you moisturize after you tone with ACV? I might give this a try. I am really into natural skin care right now (hence my using honey as a facial cleanser).
Cosmopolitan magazine says jizz facials are good for your skin. Semen has anti-aging properties http://www.cosmopolitan.com/sex-love/advice/a5885/coming-on-face-health-facts/
I love honey as a cleanser too i actually use it as a mask and let it sit on my face for 30 min or so. I figure if it can be used to preserve ancient mummies for thousands of years maybe it has some decent anti aging properties. I actually apply coconut oil as a moisturizer first and then acv immediately after. Coconut oil has a tendency to sit heavy on my face for a few hours but I find acv helps it sink in a little
Great, thanks for the tip. I just bought ACV from the market this evening, and plan on implementing this new cleansing method before bed tonight.
I used ACV tonight as a toner, after I applied coconut oil, and my skin definitely feels different....it doesn't feel as clean as it usually does. I'll leave it for tonight, but I really hope I don't wake up with a breakout tomorrow.
I used to do that, a few years ago. I'd definitely do it again if I could, but I don't think I should...my stomach has been really fucked up lately, due to all the meds I have to take. So much pain, so much acid reflux. I tried it, loved it! I diluted it though (actually, just a few water drops, and it doesn't smell that way). I will definitely continue to use it, at least until my Japanese toner/lotion arrives. I'll see how that works, and even if it's great, I'll occasionally use the ACV. Thanks for the suggestion. Cosmo is so early 2000s. I haven't had the chance to look into all ingredients. A few weeks ago I got a Lush tester for Celestial moisturizer. I thought it was great. Then I looked at all the ingredients, and saw parabens and triethanolamine :-/ Same with some Kiehls stuff :-/ Really? I feel exactly the opposite! Plus it makes my skin instantly smoother. Also, I got this today: I have to stop buying stuff.
I'm a guy and don't really have a skincare routine to speak of. I wash my face thoroughly when I shower, which is once a day.
Ash, what was your final verdict on the ACV? I picked up some rose hip oil today and mixed a few drops in with coconut oil. My face feels so soft right now. It is supposed to restore skin elasticity and smooth fine lines.
If you are still looking for a face sunscreen, I've been using bioderma spf 60 face cream since I work outside now and it's sunny. I haven't burned yet! I am still looking kind of tanned but I'm outside for 8 hours a day so I consider it a win. I also haven't broken out yet and I normally do with sunscreens.
I have Bioderma tinted SPF50. I'm not a huge fan, it kind of makes my face too shiny, I look wet and sweaty xD So I don't use it much. But my sister loves it. I guess it just doesn't work too well for me. Anyways, I got the Avene Very High Protection cream (SPF50) today. And this came as a freebie/gift with it: I once had the Evian mineral water spray, but it made my face kind of itchy? I hope this one's better. I'll keep it in my bag this summer, for whenever.
So I finally got to ordering a few Asian (mostly Korean) products... What I like is that you can buy samples, to see if it works for you before spending more on the real thing. I ordered a few things based on advice and recommendations from women who are very much into Asian skin care. This is what I ordered: I am especially looking forward to Laneige sleeping mask (heard SO many good things about it), and TonyMoly sheet masks (sooo many types to choose from, I chose red wine and sea weeds). And I realize snail is not for everyone lol xD But apparently Mizon's snail line is good for Korean skincare beginners, as your skin needs time to get used to non-western products and new ingredients. I ordered a few things from ebay (Mizon ampoules/serum) And this is the Japanese lotion, that is suppose to do wonders for hydration, especially during these hot summer days: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rohto-Hadalabo-Gokujyun-Super-Hyaluronic-Acid-Moisturizing-Lotion-Toner-/151782118732?hash=item2356eb554c:g:BrQAAOSwT5tWQyOh Now I know yall might be sceptical, and I don't blame you, lol. Asians have so many steps and routines when it comes to their skin. I've been doing the double cleansing thing for a while now (oil cleanser and then foam cleanser, after removing make up with wipes), and my skin has never looked or felt better. I added a good toner too, and a night serum/concentrate, and my skin kind of evened-out, if that makes sense. Looks very radiant. I used to be a one cleanser only, and then moisturzer kind of gal. Oh and that was all with western products. Now I want to slowly introduce a few Asian products, to see what the fuss is all about. This is an example of their routine, scrub and masks not everyday though. Actually, one can easily leave out any step, according to needs. You really don't need a sleeping mask/pack every night. But double cleansing, toning, serum/ampule and then moisturizer are highly recommended. Eye cream too, if you really need it. There's also a morning routine, but ain't nobody got time for that. Except for sunscreen, a must, no matter the weather.
I know I'm vain, sorry. This is where I ordered my stuff - http://beautynetkorea.com/index.html SAMPLES: http://beautynetkorea.com/products/SAMPLE-SHOP/43/ I'm thinking this might be okay for ladies with dark circles under eyes, the second thing? And look how cute it is http://beautynetkorea.com/product/Tonymoly-Pandas-Dream-White-Magic-Cream-Sample-10pcs/420/?cate_no=43&display_group=1 http://beautynetkorea.com/product/Tonymoly-Pandas-Dream-Eye-Patch-1set-2pcs-included-10pcs-Promotional-Item/3454/?cate_no=43&display_group=1 Oh and apparently no matter what you order, they always add a random sample or two or three or four...;-) Panda!!
