Oh my, Irmi! dang... I bet your family and friends don't want you to put all of that on your shoulders. Its okay to not be on top of things all the time...you are only human. Even the most well adjusted and happiest among us has weak moments, times of doubt and sadness. :hugs:
That is one fine fine looking boy!!! Of course when he does tricks, the camera (or phone) is not going to be handy, except 1 out of 1000 times.
of course, and he's sneaky as it is! when it was in the worst part of the summer heat I got up the middle of the night because I heard noise in the kitchen. little bugger had opened the freezer and made himself a happy little nest right in the middle.
he's an american bobtail, so he's gonna be huge. he's only 18 months old and he's tied for biggest in the house at 14 pounds. vet says that since they grow similar to maine coons, he's gonna grow for probably another 18 months and come out 20-22 pounds, give or take.
totally my cat, too. big, klutzy, friendly, eats like he's gonna be shot in the morning (and he doesn't have a lick of 'chubby' on him, which is better than I can say for me. lol) altogether way too intelligent.
What makes me smile....... Posts members make on the Hip Forums like: fun humor kind words Gif's pics of themselves pics of their pets & Members avatars
I have to walk him on a lead with a walking jacket. a collar'd be hazardous, and I put a harness on him before, and he just gave me this look like 'no' and took it right back off. he likes the jacket, though (and a rottweiler grade leash, rated for 110 pounds) he's strong, too. at the other house, I heard a noise, and checked on it, and he was dragging a full 20# bag of cat food out of storage and had it almost to the living room. (he was about 8 pounds at the time.)
rofl. let me find a pic of him in his jacket. btw, can't recommend mynwood enough - maria makes quality made to order stuff, and she works closely with the serval and bengal rescues in the UK. I am gonna have to get a new one for him soon, as this was about a month after him dragging the bag of catfood. totally outgrown it now. lol
i have to admit, people agreeing i was right, about things nearly everyone insisted i wasn't. only problem of course being my wishing i had been wrong about too. seeing any feral creature, however common, be it a feral 'domestic' cat, or around here, reticulated ground squirrels, being brave enough to get close enough to say hi to me. seeing a train go by. just to know they are still running. riding a public transit bus. that they're available. that they exist. being able to do things on my own computer, off as well as on the internet, even without having to be able to afford very much of anything else. that there is a place to walk along the river that doesn't look like the city its surrounded by. at least there are places where it doesn't, and as mentioned, the urban feral creatures it provides habitat for.
