Because the physical body is a manifestation of spirit/soul. It is incapable of being sustained without the presence of soul, and therefore acts as a reflection of its qualities. It might best be envisioned by imagining a pyramid similar to the FDA food pyramid. The foundation of the pyramid is energy. The next level up is mentality, followed by emotion, and then finally the physical body, represented by the pyramid's peak (kind of like the old food pyramid's interpretation of fats, oils, and sweets: use sparingly ). Now imagine a circle encompassing this pyramid. This represents soul or spirit. The physical body is the least important dimension of our being, and is completely dependent on the existence of our souls. Without the connection, we are dust. Travis
So then, do you believe the soul comes into the body at a relatively later time during the development of the fetus?
Me personally? Really, I could only theorize, because I have no experiential perspective on the matter, unlike some psychics (and I am not one, at least not formally). If I were to speculate, I would say that on an energetic level the fetus is sustained by the mother's soul during the early phases of pregnancy. The soul of the individual would then begin to coalesce during the the mid to late phases of the pregnancy, only to fully achieve cohesion at the moment of birth. Travis
Personally, I dont think the soul has anything to do with physical likeness, and probably not even personality. I think your soul is your true essence, something that has been around since the beginning of time, and not even we truly comprehend ourselves, not in this state at least. I was given a glimpse as to the true nature of my soul once, and it blew me away.
If you thought a fleeting glimpse was mind-blowing, just wait until you start to embody it. Earth shattering, to put it mildly. Travis
Traditionally the soul enters the body at the first breath. The word spirit comes from the Latin word also meaning "breath". Originally the first house was co-signified by Saturn (not Mars as it is in modern astrology) since first of all Saturn is the first planet and is thought of as the gateway. Literally he represents incarnation. Saturn also represents the body as a whole. The great 13th century astrologer Bonatti goes into a wonderful breakdown of the life of a person though each of the 12 houses.
My ASC and First House are both Libra, with Pluto in the first house; Pluto Sextiles Neptune and the Sun, Pluto Squares Venus, and Pluto Semisquares Mars. Would this point my physical appearance in the direction of Libra, or Scorpio? Personally, I believe my physical appearance best matches that described by Virgo, which is my Sun sign.
I think conjunctions to the sun can greatly alter sun-sign physical characteristics. I don't fit most mentioned Taurus' traits, but I do think I have Marsian and Venusian elements in my look (sun conj mars & venus in Taurus)
Does anybody perhaps have a quickie on typical physical traits carried by each planet that they could list down real fast? It would be greatly appreciated.. :]
One I have does: 'Parkers' Astrology.' It isn't a perfect book overall, it has some duff information in there like it says that the sun signs and ascendents are opposite (ascendent sign represents your inner self,) but there's some useful info in there about how the planets affect physical appearance. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Parkers-Ast...=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1207949946&sr=1-4
