lol ya both my parents are home. its 4:43 and my moms like GO GET YOUR HAIR CUT THEY CLOSE AT 5. i was like NO, GOOD. blah blah blah. then she said " im gonna beat yer ass" and i was like good, atleast ill still have my hair.


ahha yes. that was like the first time (not really) that she just kinda dropped it. like she couldnt make me it was sweet, and this convo just happened as i was typing this :


mom: "you dont get any of these new socks untill you get your hair cut"

me: "i dont care i dont like socks, they suck!" (beefing it up lol) i wasnt even serious i thought it was funny tho...

mom: "sure youll like these: "no shows". youll like em come and see me and well talk about it"

after a long pause:

mom:"GO, GOOD BYE"

 

this is off topic but does anyone know how to change my timing on the forum, it says that my last post was at 1:43 but it was 4:43 so its 2 hours off. idk where the time zone selection is or what time zone its supposed to be in lol.

 

HAHAHAHAHA dude seriously sounds like an average teenagers homelife. now i dont really wanna suggest u dont listen to ur parents cuz i damn sure wish i had a little more. however jus keep tellin her no and then tell her some more and eventually she'll jus stop.

 

go to ur user cp(its a button up near the top on the left) and one of the buttons on the left of the new page will have a time zone changer :cheers2:

hahah thats what i do to people all the time i just agree with whatever their weird ass demand is verbally but then i continue doing whatever i feel like doing.....its pretty solid think that might be your best strategy... and so you that strategy works for more things than just mothers it works with fathers, teachers, bosses ect..

 

seriously... I agree.... don't like telling you to not listen to your parents....but in this case... its just hair...

My mother used to try and ground me for stupid stuff... I'd go out anyway and she's yell at me and tell me I'm in so much crap... but really... what is she going to do? ground me again?

 

meh, again my mom told me to cut my hair or ill be grounded this weekend. normally i wouldnt care but as i said my friends having his brithday party, so im gonna try to say i dont wanna get it cut till after then, then after i go to the party just say im not gettin my hair cut again....

simpler solution...mom, i feel very strongly about this and am totaluy committed to it, i am noyt going tio cut my haiir, not now not next week not next year
you can ground me every weekend till i leave you can throw me out on the stereet to be homeless its your choice..or.. you can simply accept that this is what i want and support it..even if you cfant support it..you have to accept it or punnish me for life for making my own choices.

yeah, or not. actually my dad pays for everything anyway.
im gonna be 17. why the fuck wouldnt i be allowed to make my own decisions, im gonna be fucking living on my own in alittle over a year. you would think it would be a GOOD THING to do, before i actually go out and make my own rules.

she should be worried about other things besides my hair.

 

Just sayin, parents will be parents. My parents made me wait till I graduated high school before I could start growing locks. You have to remember parents make a ton of sacrifices to raise their children so it's good to remember to be respectful. Maybe honoring your mother's requests would be a more noble pursuit than growing your hair. Just my two cents, take it or leave it.

 

yeah my mom said that before. once she said when i move out i can (i take that as college) then another time after that she said never idfk. she says everything for the spur of the moment to make me shut up. I am respectful, when I bring it up but its me trying to make a point, and her being ignorant.

 

Love has a way of blinding people from reality. Just don't let your earthly desire for dreadlocks cause a fissure in your relationship with your mom. Remember real love and acceptance is more important than symbols.
