well i think its in the old "n.e.s.f.a. himnal", and i therefor doubt anyone born since 1990 has ever heard of it: "what's the use of wearing cottons, hats and spats that get forgotten, these affairs are simply rotten, better far is woad. woad's the stuff to show men, woad to scare your foe men, boil it to, a brinlliant blue, and rub it on your arms, your leggs, abdomin, ancient brittain never hit on, anything as fine to fit one, ... brainfart ..., or where you sit on, bottoms up to woad. romans came accros the channel, all dresed up in tin and flanal, half a pint of woad per man 'll clothe us more then these. ... ..., and not a nest for fleas" well that's about as much as i can remember of the lyric. no idea if there's a link to anyone singing it anywhere on the net. the folks at promethius, or whatever they're calling themselves these days, who were filkers themselves at the time, would probably know if anyone would.
This one... Michael Jackson's "Rock With You", bass only. This guy uploaded a lot of songs with isolated sections. Some of it is worth a listen.
I was smoking crack the other day and had the needle and the spoon stuck up in my noggin I still think it's ironic
The first song I thought of was that song "Jane Says" by Jane's Addiction, but it's not actually stuck there. I was trying to sing it with the guitar (I can play guitar fairly well; I can play that song anyway) and I couldn't figure out the right pitch or note or whatever to begin singing on. I would sing the wrong one no matter how hard I tried. It would like not come out right the first time no matter what I did. I eventually stopped trying though. I like that song okay. It's not my favorite though and I don't have any love for the drug it seemed to be about. The "Caught Stealing" song is better. I have a little aversion/superstition with it as well though because I used to be a kleptomaniac (I think that's where you steal. I used to shoplift.). That's my Jane's Addiction spiel...
