Yeah, I was on it for a 6 months.

It does have a lot of side effects, that is why they won't put you on it until you have tried everything else. It wasn't so bad for me, I got bad chapped lips but that was it. They monitor you by phone, and have you appear 2 appointments a month to test your blood and progress so if problems do arrise, they made sure to take you off right away (at least my doctor did).

After my cycle was over, I no longer got acne break outs, EVER.

Just eat well. lots of fruits and veggies and whole grains.

(if you haven't already) stop eating artificial, processed crap.

    Drink lots of (filtered) water.

wash your face but don't overdo it. washing your face 3 trillion times a day will hurt your skin..and don't rub to hard, obviously skin is sensitive but some people really scrub to hard.

Try to spend the money on organic all natural facial washes. I think it is Aveda that is pretty darn good. Use some moisturizer first thing in the morning and before bed. Get some organic moisturizer that a mother would use for a baby, seriously, it is extra sensitive for the skin and makes it nice and soft. I even used Johnson and Johnson for a long time and it worked real well.

Proactiv works to an extent, but kind of plateaus after a while.

Tea tree oil is pretty decent. of course sun light. patience too..just a phase.
