What the hell is going on?

I was under the impression that if you started a thread bitching about rep, regardless of your reasons, you should be given neg rep.

However, I find it all rather silly - your rep says nothing about the quality of your posts, which is proven time and again on these forums

Actually, I would feel insulted and not lucky at all.
