Being a hippie is more a lifestyle thing than anything. It's not based on what kind of a scene you're part of. If you live and think progressively, and feel the need to reject many of the things that mainstream society tries to force on you, then you are a hippie if you want to be one.

so why do uh.. you.. think that were not hippies? i'm bored.. i'd like to know what your thoughts are on this... do you think your a hippie? how do you feel when your walkin down the street and someone yells out there car window "DAMN DIRTY HIPPIES".. would you stick up for yourself? or would you simply chase after them and say i'm not a hippy, hippies are dead or over the age of 50. it hurts to hear somebody say that... jerry garcia is probably lookin down sayin "what the vuk"...

Yes they do...the only hippies were hippies in the sixties and seventies...
They created a revolution. What are we doing to create a revolution? Sitting on the computer bitching? Real hippies wouldn't have computers.

I don't label myself. I am whatever I am. I don't need to classify myself to identify with any type of person. I can identify with many different "labels".

If someone called me a damn dirty hippie...that's their opinion. Everyone's entitled to their opinion.

And REAL hippies...they don't give a fuck...it's the YIPPIES you have to be worried about.

So why do you care if we're hippies so much? I know hippies well over the age of 50 that have computers in there homes (no TV though), but only spend probably a mere hour on it each night.

I don’t think I am much of a dedicated Hippy or anything else, though I do agree with most of things Hippies stand for that’s why I am not ashamed to post around this forum.
