    It was tongue in cheek.

I dunno Rubin, I think your lacking something in some of your relationships if theres nobody who's advice you would listen to.

Not that I'm judging, I have a hard time relating to people.

I have never really sought advice from other people, even when I was a kid.

    Just ain't my thing.

My relationships with people are rather good though. It's next to impossible for me to connect to someone on an emotional level, it's just part of my schizoid nature. I'd say that I love my friends, but it's a very different kind of love than the traditional kind.

I've had the same basic group of really really great friends whom I get along with amazingly and who would do anything for me for around 4 years now. This might sound a little heartless now, but I wouldn't have any problem letting them all go in an instant and never seeing them again. I just can't form the attachment.

People have before, only on here though (since like high school). It upset me at first because no one likes ot hear that stuff, but now that I have had some major orders from upscle boutiques along the california coast, NYC and Seattle I could give a shit. It's like, who's really having the last laugh now?

Maybe it will turn into that, takes alot for me to laugh in a hearty manner though...maybe if my children's bath body and baby aromatherapy gets picked up in boutiques as well soon. That would make for one very hearty chuckle and one very good paying wholesale order.

Even the mighty Jimi Hendrix was snubbed by recordmakers at first.

    Get some other opinions.

I like that idea and RELEVANT opinions. Andy, forumers, my family etc do not know what sells, established designers and boutiques do. When I got over my anxiety and started asking opinions from the right people, I started making money and felt SO GOOD about myself.
Hyphy, a producer is going to give a much more accurate oopinion than some jealous fucktard.

Then the future is bright :D I get nothing but, props from industry people. As a matter of fact, I have 2 producers that will only produce instrumentals for me and my brother. It just insults me beyond belief when someone says they're better than me and nobody other than themselves think so. Like Emenem says, talent can't be denied.

Good for you. Fuck haters then. I agree, talent is talent. Just because some people say they can;t see it, doesn;t mean it's not there.

The cop shooting or the Berkley resident shooting? There are a lot of shootings in Oakland, way more than the ones that hit the news. Anyways in either case they haven't found the culprit yet.

My wife tells me I suck at singing all the time. What I did about it... went and hired a coach. I'll be the next James Hetfield.

All this "Fuck opinions, I know I'm still the shit" is American Idol Syndrome, and it's really ridiculous. if someone can pinpoint exactly what is wrong with you, they may be right. why should you ignore it? It's weak to just snub people who criticize you - it shows that you're afraid to face reality. i think you should learn from criticism and change, or just be real and say "maybe this isn't my thing after all" and move on. other people's opinions can be valid even if they go against what you're "passionate" about

I'll take constructive criticism and learn from it, that's how I get/got better. The thing is when someone hates on me out of pure jealousy(at least, that's what I think it is) without giving me details of what he/she thinks I could work on and just dismisses me as wack without explanation, whoa! You better believe I'm ripping them a new asshole on a random beat!

To some people passion is more important than reverence, or gainfull employment. "Reality" of skill is subjective, and good taste is the enemy of art.

there is a reason that i like sylph ish, and this is why.

    bravo, i couldn't agree more.

if the general consensus is that you 'suck' then there is some truth to it.
