What would you do if someone spit in your face?

then travel back in time and curse all their ansestors

then they would be so psychot and violent that when i returned they would shoot me

so i would repeat the process cursing their family

i would then return to my celestial body and destroy the earth

then when we met in another dimention
he would fire on my star ship
to which i would destroy the whole galactic plane

then when we met in the void
and there was nothing
i would ask ''why did you spit on me''

and he would say
because im a jerk

then i would realize that there are ppl who just want company in their mysery and this one had been sucsessful with me

spending eternity in a void with a jerk

The bully is pathetic for spitting in your mouth and I'm not saying YOU are pathetic, but the fact that you didn't at least try to stand up for yourself is pretty sad.

I guess you have to pick your battles though. I don't think I'd be able to bring myself to turn the other cheek if someone spit in my mouth though, even if I ended up getting the shit kicked out of me. lol

 

I always was very soft and weak, which made me a very easy target for bullies. I was always too timid and scared to stand up for myself. And yes it is sad, but that's just the way I am. More's the pity. lol

It was horrendous and disgusting, and I'm sure most people in the same situation would have reacted violently to having that done to them. But then again, I'm sure he probably only did it because he knew I wouldn't have had the guts to attack him, and he was right. lol

 

That's what I hate about bullies. They only bully the people they can get away with bullying.

I was the same way for a LONG time, and I just let people walk all over me. I've been through a lot though and I'm a lot tougher, mentally, than I used to be.

 

Exactly. Bullies like to portray themselves as tough, but most are cowards in reality, because they only prey on people weaker then themselves who they know will not (or cannot) fight back.

I would like to think that everything I've been through has made me mentally a lot stronger than I used to be, but I'm not sure. I am still a very soft and timid person, so if I was bullied again, I don't know if Id react any differently now than I did when I was younger. Although I would like to think that I would.

 

Unfortunately, I'm sure you will find out. We're always gonna run into bullies, even if it doesn't necessarily involve them spitting in your face or hitting you, or even being verbally abusive. In many situations, bullies just use mind games. In those situations, wit and a sharp tongue can be your best defense. You can make someone think you're prepared to brawl, based solely on the words you use and the look in your eyes. More often that not, with typical bullies, it'll never escalate to a fight and they'll back off, if you do it right.

 

i'm a pretty soft spoken nice guy in the real world a lot of the time, which sometimes gives people the impression i'm a pushover. a little verbal check here in there is sometime necessary to let people know i don't take shit.

I don't think I can bluff well. Bluffing has a downside, in that the real intensity is not there. If I'm not willing to invest myself in a fight, I don't go there verbally. It just gets stupid, and dangerous, since the lack of emotional investment would preclude any real effectiveness.

It's like the old saying, don't draw a gun unless you're willing to use it. I don't throw down unless I'm 100%.

I was working in a machine shop once, and this guy, bigger than myself, used to try to bully me. He was always choosing me off, threatening to fight me after work. Finally, I'd had enough, and one day, right there on the shop floor, between the degreaser and the paint booth, I turned around and with full investment told him "RIGHT NOW, MOTHERFUCKER!!!" He fucking backed off, nervously laughing and saying that he was "only kidding".

I don't care how big someone is. If I'm angry, my intensity quotient goes way up, and on the basis of that alone, I'm sure to win, and people know it. If you're fully invested, you have more tools at your disposal.

Don't try to bluff a bully. They'll know it, and you'll get your ass beat. Wait until the anger builds, and use it if necessary, at the right moment. End it/

If you're not willing to take care of business, don't get in people's business.

 

I think I'd see red if someone spat in my face. I'm very quiet and nice, but not shy. They'd probably regret it.

Good point. It's understandable that you didn't retaliate, even though this person deserved you to.

I've just read through this thread at the responses and I can't imagine everyone retaliating by doing the things they say they would. I've seen people spit in other people's faces before. Quite a few times actually. I've seen a full-blown fight come from it, but mostly I've seen people get angry, feel humiliated and just walk away. It's quite a difficult thing to retaliate as deserved sometimes, even if you are provoked.

I also think if someone spits in your face, they more than likely think they can take you. You might not even want to risk doing something back.

well i was at maria sabins's house [a mushroom shaman] in the 1980s and her daughter apolonia opened the door, we arrived with a man well known to her and when she opened the door she said ''0h roberto you ugly dog''.
and she spat in his face ... the spit was a copious amount which coveered his face dripping down his long beard ...

robert scooped up the spit in his hand [like a cup] and wiped it all into his mouth ... saying yummmmmmmmmm delicious !

to this response apolonia lit up her face with a huuuuuge smile and threw her arms around robert hugging him and saying its soooo good to see you.

then she smiled gracefully on the rest of the crew [13 ppl for a full moon]
and warmly invited everyione into the small mud hut.


0ne of life's lessons perhaps is accepting your karma with grace
i can say ive cheated karma in my life, but it doesnt benefit me as the lesson goes unlearned, i had an oppertunity once to get punched out, and recruited a bigger thug to protect me, looking back i may have been better off to gert punched out ... afterall ... i deserved it.


the same could be said for getting spit in the face
if deserved accept it, and move on ...
