So that's why Hank from King of the Hill has a favourite beer called "Alamo". Hahaha. In one episode Peggy decides to work for Alamo beer doing call center customer service in Spanish. She gets all this beer gear for the men, Alamo pjs, Alamo keychains, Alamo hats, everything. She decides to sneak into the Alamo beer board room by snatching a mail cart and says on her way in to the secretary "Thank God it's Ala-most Friday!"

Yeah, anyway - I should try this Shiner beer.

 

That is their slogan.

But their both sorta ingrained and patriotic. And Lone Star is pretty awful.

I am drinking water right now, but I am gonna drink a home brew in a bit.

 

what type of brew did you brew, brewther?

 

I brewed a Belgian Trappist clone, nice copper color, dry hoppy after taste, 7.1% ABV.

 

The reviews for Shiner Bock are not very good. That's not to say it's bad beer or anything, just that most people rated it average. Then again, some people will say Corona is good beer. I cannot say because I've never had it (Shiner, that is).

 

Matt, would you mind posting a link to that site that rates beers?
I'm going to go to the store and buy something I haven't had yet.

 

Shiner kinda sucks in my opinion.
