I don't know why I want a cigarette so badly today.

I've been tobacco free for 25 days.

I've been complaining about wanting one until hubby comes out of his old room with a partial pack. They are his last pack from when he quit 10 years ago.

He throws them on my desk and tells me to blow 25 days tobacco free if I really want to.

At least I quit bitching pretending that cigarettes would suddenly appear to solve everything, because I didn't think there was a possibility that they wouldn't really.

Damn this man I'm married to.

Now, I'm sitting here with a pack of cigarettes and not smoking them.

Pens, I have hated to hear about your sister having an undiagnosed medical problem. If nothing else, its good your mom has had experience in nursing and she is there to take care of and/or help your sister.

Called the cops to get rid of that dog bothering my mom's dog.cop came and took him. 10 minutes later the dog is on my porch. 5 minutes later cop knocks on my door. Says he got away when he opened the door. Said he found who owns it. Down the street.
Said call him if the dog comes back.
    Dog came back today.
I don't want any trouble though. So I don't think I will call the cops back. Although I may have to do something.

My neighbor brought me a beautiful sunflower wreath for my front door. It's made of colored craft burlaps. It was so sweet of her. She's the recent widow in my neighborhood.

PS - She made it for me.

    That's cold for me, too!

Fifty-nine degrees starts "cold" in my book.

I am OK with 35 or so if it means there is never freezing temperatures.
I prefer it warm but ice should only be in the freezer.

That's a pretty good way to look at it.

Being my age (56), or maybe it's my lack of physical fitness, I just can't warm up from getting chilled like I use to. By chilled, I mean to the core - like sitting outside in cool/cold weather for several hours. I can't recover from that very efficiently.

My fingers are annoyingly cold right now. Not numb but cold enough to affect my writing this at half the speed I normally can.

Hubby has something (else) wrong with him that keeps his hand freezing cold year round.

I have a suggestion...if he found out who owns the dog and they are down the street, I figure you can find out too...and then just ask them to keep the dog put up because he is bothering your mom's dog.

I'm figuring your mom's dog is in heat, right? Or if she isn't in heat but the other dog is truly bothering her...either way the owner might even appreciate you coming and talking to them.

I'm also thinking you've probably thought of this yourself; but, honestly if my male dog that I didn't have put up was going to somebody's house bothering their female, I would appreciate them letting me know rather than call animal control.

well he literally pointed down the street so it could have been about 5 different houses if its on the side he was looking at, sure i could ask random people or knock on doors of people i never talked to and find out. that isnt gonna happen though. i asked the cop how he found out whos it was and he ignored the question.

we will see what happens tomorrow

All we've ever had were the little shrews. I think they are what ate up my hostas.
