What's Happening?

Have had too much extended family drama as of late. I think it may just be over now. Thankfully.

Spent today cooking an extra turkey and ham for tomorrow so that they all have leftovers to take home. I will cook another turkey and ham tomorrow for dinner and I am looking forward to my family being together.

Tis the night before Christmas and all through the house

I've been up for hours with severe diarrhea.

Seriously, fuck this.

Tonight, at my son's in-laws who are Columbian and Puerto Rican, we ate pork roast, ham, and rice con gandules with pork chops in it. We also had corn casserole and potato salad. Dessert was flan and rice pudding.

 

Oooooh, I'm pissed!

Hubby used 4 cups of sugar this week that I had planned to use for the Christmas cookies.

Did he tell me?

Fuck, no he didn't.

He knew that I was going to be making sugar cookies.



I can't even.

 

I have a little rest now before the morning crew stomp through.
Now funny my aunt just called and ask if we are putting on lunch. I say yes. Why? Because your uncle bought a whole turkey and it is "fucked" and no longer wanted. :ROFL:

Well I have pork belly, baked pumpkin, baked carrots, bratkartoffeln (potato salad), sausages and beautifully home recipe caramelised onion.

I know it's just grilled onion, but throw in caramelised and all of suddens im a chef.

Happy Christmas everyone.I'm cooking today.We just have a roast chicken,roast potatoes and parsnips,Yorkshire puddings,brussel sprouts and gravy.Mince pies and cream for desert.

Oh we also have some little sausages wrapped in bacon to go around the chicken.Doubly delicious.

 

I had enough sugar to make one recipe of cookies. I wanted to make two or three recipes.

I'll have to see if my daughter-in-law has sugar that I can get in the morning so I can make at least one more batch of cookies.

I'm so tired that I feel queasy. It's hot in here.

At least I'm done baking for tonight. The last tray of cookies is cooling.

 

I had a bout of gastro/stomach flu right before christmas, perfect weight loss program. Yeah, nah it's fucked! Feel better.

 

Stomach bug seems to be on a world trip! It got me good, lets hope it's gone after 3 days max. there as well (here it was only bad for 2 days)

Btw: If I happen to have diarrhea I usually don't spread it all through the house.

 

There are these days were I eat far less then usual, and I almost always feel it. When I was struck by stomach fly (very unexepected and rare here) I suddenly had to force myself to eat one piece of bread a day and NOTHING else, and felt not hungry for 2 days! Now that's when you know I am ill.

 

yeah I ate some toast and slept for 18hrs out of 24! It was gross and ridiculous. BUT I fit my new dress SO good! LOL

 

On the first day I was sick I felt like I couldn't eat much that fills so I thought let's go with 2 little mandarins. I seriously misunderstood the situation as they were out an hour later. After I figured this isn't a normal case of a hangover or puking up one time I read up a bit on my symptoms and it said one of the worst things to eat in this situation is stuff like sour fruits

 

Oranges are not good if you have an upset stomache.
