What's Happening?

Never thought I would take the beastie boys to the Decemberists but yeah.

 

I dont really understand what this comment means, maybe i'm having a slow moment

But i love the Decemberists and have been listening to them all day

Tomorrow, I'm going to the flea market, and to visit the new baby, with my daughter, future d-i-l, and my grandson.

I miss my truck. =[
I've been driving the VW around. it's actually quite fun to drive, sticks to the road, can swing around corners a lot fast, but I miss the height of my truck. I miss the sound system. I miss the reverse camera and sensors. I miss running over curbs. I miss not having to give a fuck about a truck a should probably be giving fucks about, but I just don't need to because well unless some random creates a collision I'm pretty sweet.

I'm going to get a chrome styled probably alloy bullbar. They are much more expensive because they are flashy looking, but they're also a lot lighter and not as strong. I've come to the conclusion though, that I'd prefer to compliment the front of our truck with silver/chrome/alloy to suit the chrome front we laid extra for in the XLT model.

I've looked around at others, and some black steel bars look good but on other looks they don't look good. White doesn't really work either. So, thinking of the shiny look. Also less weight = better tire wear and looking at my insurance policy, if we bend the alloy bullbar, it'll still save the vehicle and the bar gets replaced anyway.

Plus! Much improved safety ratings.

 

Being in a low car, after having a relatively high one, feels like driving a go-cart.

What I love most about Sons and Daughters, or maybe what I love most about the Office, is in a later episode of the Office there was a scene where Dwight was hanging out on his family farm and his family performed this song. It was the best.

Red Right Ankle, actually . I also love "The Mariners Revenge Song", mostly because I used to like it, until I watched a video of them performing it and realized the sound effects were entirely instrumental, and then I loved it. I also like of Angels and Angels, July July, and Sons & Daughters, and We Both Go Down Together.

 

Yess i listened to all of these songs today and they're all so wonderful. I have to go watch a live version of Mariners Revenge Song now !

Yes that is a good way to put it lol. And omg the rattled and noises. it's like a death trap, how'd I even feel safe in that thing?

 

That is so lovely. I've always assumed a lot of those sounds were sound effects too!

 

...and now, the fucking septic tank is backing up.

Hubby thinks it's a clog in the line somewhere and not a full septic tank...



Did I mention that we have to get a brake job on the car? One of them has been making the dragging sound for about a month...
