I've been catching up on laundry tonight and browsing online for artificial flowers....oh, and letting the dog in and out, in and out, in and out...you'd think she was a cat.

Could have gotten out yesterday but when lunch and champagne is served...home isn't going anywhere today.

Stuck with a black screen on the TV though. Says "press any key to watch tv"
Guess I did it wrong, I pressed every key.
Remote works because the red light flashes bright with every button push.
So I am forced to listen to real housewives.

You don't press every key when it's specifically telling to press the any key. =p

Why would I? I would sooner vote VVD. Also right leaning party, but actually a sensible one.

He has a fair chance his party is getting the most votes but a small chance on getting in a governing position. This is because we work with with a coalition government and there a majority could be easier formed without his party. Several parties have already declared they will not form a coalition with his party no matter what (because his points and solutions are not realistic and the way he words them a politician unworthy). Anyone with a brain can see he panders to the dissatisfied people not because he has the solutions but because he might get their votes because they're disgruntled with the other established parties.
Other parties are not doing bad at all either: it's not like he has an enormous majority in the polls (whatever they're worth :p)

Aw you guys have a Trump

I just feel the need to rub it in because i've seen you say a few times that you are glad your country doesnt have to contend with someone like trump ;) and now you have your very own nationalist populist!

But what you said above ^ about the coalition government does sound like an effective way of never giving one goon or one goon-esque party too much power

We had him for awhile. He has already been in a ruling government coalition in the past. Not a succes. It fell. Of course he blamed it on the other 2 parties in that coalition. Now pretty much no other party wants to get in that situation again (because it is certain it doesn't do anything positive in regards to actual governing :p). We had coalitions before with parties that oppose each other on important issues, but they rarely act as ridicilous and deconstructive as Wilders and actually find a way to work with eachother. Its good to have a party like his: at least the people who would otherwise cry about not being represented at all in politics can shut up :-D
There are some other new smaller right wing parties as well, with leaders who sound slightly more reasonable than Wilders. But I guess most of those potential voters will not split up their chances and mostly go for Wilders party. We also have a great bunch of apathic, ignorant or just clueless non voters. If just the clueless ones would make an effort Wilders would not even get a majority. A lot of those clueless voters are 18 or 19 and just not busy with politics. They don't know shit, are busy with their own things and can't be bothered to get informed. I guess that is of all times and not just a 'generation Z' thing though ;)

NPR (public radio) has been talking about your country's election a good bit this week, nice to take a break from all trump all the time and hear about other countries for a change

How many political parties does your country have?

No idea about the exact amount but lets say plenty :p

Although MeAgain pointed out to me the USA has plenty as well, they just don't have any chance. Here even the party of animal rights has a chance to make an impact on a national level. Although since they don't ever get the amount of votes to get in the ruling coalition they have to do it from the uhm well position of opposition :p When they get enough votes they get a certain amount of 'chairs' (literally though) in the government and will get time to give their perspective and get their points on the government agenda :) (not sure to what extent that is different in USA btw!)

That's all the political talk here. Okay guys?

I had a busy day of just communicating with people...

We had some dogs out here in the front yard after dark, threatening my husband. We went inside to call a neighbor in case it was her dogs and then we heard a gun shot. We went back outside. Hubby thinks he heard the pizza delivery guy tell one of the homeowners "I shot...). Hubby couldn't hear it all because I didn't know he was listening and I spoke at the same time. Damn my hearing deficit. Anyway, nobody acted like there was a dead dog so maybe he fired into the air.
