I got so lost bringing my grandson home from ball practice last night. It took me an hour and ten minute when it should have taken 30.

He got to bed an hour late so I let him sleep about 40 extra minutes this morning and drove him to school.

I got lost, twice, coming up here.

I drove a few miles past the grocery yesterday and had to backtrack.

I'm so sick of being lost!

I don't even want to go back to practice tomorrow night.

I went to the craft store this morning because my grandson has a project due on Monday.

I only made one wrong turn and got a little lost.

I can't wait to get home!

I feel like I'm undergoing some sort of trial up here by myself, except for the kid.

I can't say I'm truly enjoying it, except for his company in the evenings by which time when I'm all stressed out from being lost every day.

I just want to go home and I feel like a bad grandma because I do.

the other day .. gf wanted one those burger king lucky charm milkshakes .. so we go inside tho she didnt want to. I hate drive thru.. I do that part time job for a company that reviews fast food places. I let my gf order and I stood in the back watching. I see the manager looking at me like Im there doing a review. he was the manager when I did the last review. which was good. Not excellent. I dont think Ive given a place an excellent yet. I dont know if they get told of the reviews but Ive to identify myself unless its kiosk ..

Watching t.v. with the kid. Nice.

Funeral flowers cost way too much to send. A frigging vase of flowers ended up being $50.

Looking at the map of how lost I was last night is literally giving me an anxiety attack.

I have to do it, though. We have no GPS. I will make a hand drawn map tomorrow.

I do honestly have a phobia of driving places that I'm not familiar with, especially in the dark.

Mittenwald yeah. Part of Garmisch-Partenkirchen county. Known mostly from its violin productions. Like lots of people will come here to buy a violin. Which is kind of cool, always wanted to learn one of those. Maybe the fiddle though.

It is a quiet town, growing though. Has its old quarters which are strictly traditional so no new modern architecture, growing suburbs have more modern look out of public eyes, like where I live then much of the countryside is farmed with some good history so my uncles/family property is here too. Before I bought this house we lived in a stone cottage on the farm well away from the main living buildings and family, down a long dirt road headed nowhere.

We are about 3hrs from Münich and Innsbruck so you always read about me going to Münich for pool etc. I'm on the Southern state representitive side now, so will definitely be a proud southerner. :d I'm considering buying a confederate hat for giggles. I'm really excited about that.

I told the guys you know Wednesday pool league is just for fun, we are stoned, drunk and talking shit. You see me play to my potential during comps and trials, now add state representation and I'll play better again, because I'm deadly proud of where I live and what I am, I'll be in a different ball game.. I hope.

We will find out Saturday hehe. That's my first match, I'm in starting line up and confirmed. The dirty northerners are still working out their line up.

I looked up Mittenwald on Google images (I hope that doesnt sound stalkerish :/ I just like learning about different places). Wow it looks like a fairy tale. I would love to live in a little Alpine town like that. How old are the buildings in the old quarters?

They're just very traditional with the styles and colours and the A frames? I'm actually not sure what that means lol but I think A frame suits.

So those people living in town are basically given an option every year to either, pay taxes or buy and decorate their houses with whatever flowers are in this year. It is expensive to buy the flowers but not as expensive as the taxes. Anyways so this all creates a uniform and looks good for the tourists who I've spoken much about. We get aot of snow tourists in winter and then in summer we get a lot of cyclists who use the Alps etc.

Where I work stables all of them and then the Oktoberfest crowds who just young folks wanna get trashed lol.

It is beautiful. When I bought my lady here, we'd discussed moving to Europe so with friends we travelled and came to see my family and she was just here it is this is where we are going to live.

The closest I've ever gotten to Mittenwald was the town of Innsbruck just a little bit south of it.

Did lots of exploring by train through the alps. Had the time of my life and I'd give anything to go back there again to spend more time there. One thing I remember about Innsbruck was the number of prostitutes roaming the streets on a weekday.

Cheap weekday discount only 100 dolla.

Nah I dunno. Lol. Austria is full of things like that, go to place pay to watch people have sex lol. Just apply yourself might get real sex for free! :d

I was born in Austria, Vienna. Like no other in my family. We often joke that I don't belong, so I joke that I am Prussian.

I'm one of the only family members that takes a lot of pride in our country and all that. My sisters couldn't care less they don't live here at all, they don't speak the language much. I speak it all the time but English is very much fluent because of the tourism. My Lady doesn't need to learn other languages. I wish she would. One tiny gripe I have but is what it is there.

You should come to Mittenwald for a few nights, stay in a local bed and breakfast cottage, you wouldn't be disappointed. Beer halls and great fresh food. Plus you're in highland alpine territory. It's just gorgeous.

I met my loooove by the gasworks wall
Dreamed I dream by the old canal
I kiss my girl by the factory wall
Dirty old town dirty old town

Clouds are drifting across the moon
Cats are prowling on their feet
It brings the girls on the streets at night
Dirty old town dirty old town

I heard a siren coming from the docks
I saw a train set the night on fire
Smell the spring on the smokey wind
Dirty old town dirty old town

I'm gonna make a good sharp axe
Shining steel tempered in the fire
I'll chop you down like an old dead tree
Dirty old town dirty old town

Dirty old town, dirty old town.

Not sure who owns that song the hardest. Not the Dubliners, thats for sure. I love the Pogues' take on it just as much as Ewan McColl's version
