Lol, you are definitely not right in your assumptions.

I was at YVR waiting for some long lost friends that I haven't seen in almost three years. They've been away traveling, and finally ventured home today. My husband and I went to the airport to surprise them. It was like no time had passed.

We are all spending the day together tomorrow, and I can't wait.

Yep, I definitely have a nasty eye infection. The eyelid is swollen and there is alot of colored discharge from the eye.

I ordered a tube of Terramycin for the kitten's eyes. It is supposed to ship on the 7th and get here by the 11th. I'll use that too if I can wait on it.

I really don't want to spend another $111 for a doctor's office visit.

Sorry about your peeper Aerianne! It's a great idea to keep stuff like that on hand for when you need it.

Glad you are getting some soon ~

    I know...

If it isn't resolving itself, or spreads to the other eye, I'll have to go.

Maybe it's one of the funky fibromyalgia symptoms that will migrate through me and leave on it's own.

I had (and still have) a little bitty tube of some kind of ointment the doctors gave (well, they didn't "give" it) for one of the cat's eyes. I kept it in a safe place. Then a couple of years ago my left eye began itching really bad and it wound up developing a type of mole (or something) but I know it wasn't a sty.

I remembered I had that cat eye ointment and I used it, putting a little dab of it on my lower lid, where the thing was. Not only did my eye quit itching but in a week or 2 that thing even fell off.

So sometimes cat eye stuff works for people. :)

I hope you don't have pink eye :-/ but since your kitty is getting an antibiotic it still might work.

I can't believe I hit the like button. :p I do NOT like nor hope you have pink eye.

I haven't had it in years but there for years when I worked with the public in retail stores, I would get it...

If your eye is "melted" together in the morning, you most probably have it. I do have a suggestion though...I most certainly would NOT! want to spend $111 either but IF that is what it is I think you'll need something from the eye doctor. I learned during my "pink eye time of life" that both of the Wal-Marts here also have eye doctors. They don't just see people to fit them with glasses but also for whatever problems...just "regular" eye problems. By which I mean, they aren't going to see you for cataracts, for instance.

Anyway, you might want to check it out and see if your Wal-Mart has an eye doctor. I went about 2 years ago also because I was worried I had caught it at McDonald's but I didn't. I could be wrong but the visit was around $45. I know it wasn't over $50, or I'd have remembered.

y.v.r.? now THAT sounds like Yosemite valley railroad, which, i know there WAS such a thing, but is there one today? (i know about the sierra railroad, and i've more then once had a book called yv88, written in 1977, that proposed rebuilding it as a solution to traffic problems in yosemite national park) besides i thought you said airport? certainly (Yosemite being in california) a looooong way from new york. also a lot closer to me, though not THAT close. (i live in reno which is in northern nevada, and only know new york has subway routs with those letter names from recently watched videos on youtube. a relatively small town (15 miles from sacramento) i once, up until less then 4 years ago, lived in had alphabetical rather then numerical bus routes. no airport though)

i get that those, i guess, were friend's initials. i'm just more of a nut about public transit then humans. YVR doesn't ring any other bells for me then as mentioned.

Home, in bed. Haven't slept in my own bed in 5 nights. Happy girl. My leg is 90 % back to normal, so I'm off to see the pt first thing in the am.

My eye is scary fucked up. Blood red, swollen, and "welded shut" (as Ty put it) after sleeping.

That's a good idea, Lynn. I'll call them.

Also, now that my doc has gone up from $75 to $111, I believe the drugstore clinics are cheaper.

I think the racoon are up to some shenanigans.

Yesterday morning, I awoke to an empty cat food can near my front porch but what was more strange was a cap off a beer bottle on the front steps.

This morning at 3:00 a.m., I opened the door to let 2 cats out and there was a quilted potholder on my door step. I just slid it under the chair next to the door and figured I'd take a closer look after daylight.

I just let the cats out and the potholder is gone. Whatever brought it up, took it away! lol

Got the front and back yard mowed... Need to do the trimming before the storm hits. (if it hits) All the rest of the mowing can wait until Saturday or Sunday.

There's still a zillion plants on my front stoop waiting to go in the ground too.

    I like it!

A little, like dime size, goes along way as long as you use plenty of water a rub it into a good lather.

I have used pet antibiotic ointment for my eye before too and it worked fine, might be worth researching if that particular antibiotic can help pink eye

You havent been in an ocean or other body of water lately have you? Was just reading about a girl who contracted orbital cellulitis from polluted waters in Myrtle Beach.
