I'm up 6-0 against the raiders and just got an interception to finish off 1st Quarter.

I'm going to go get some rest though because I'm mentally drained after that race of mine.

It's a pain in the ass to try to even wash your hands.

 

Yesterday evening my son was wondering when the water would be back on so I told him to go up the street and ask one of the workers; one of the other neighbors had done so when it went off earlier in the day.

Later, I told hubby that by the time this natural gas co. project is finished we will know these workers so well that we will have to buy them all Christmas presents.

I don't even need an alarm clock. They roll the trucks in and start dropping ramps for the machines on the asphalt at 7:45 a.m., sharp.

 

The deep, loud hum of this machine; and the vibration; is giving me a fucking awful headache and I'm shaking.

I've got to go outside and walk my dog but I don't know if I can get far enough away from this mofo.

 

It's not as bad behind the houses.

I may have to spend the rest of the day in the back yard.

 

Now that we're back inside, that goofy Emma is barking and whining because she wants to go play with the workmen again like she did before she got to play with the puppies in the back of the impound truck.

Anyone have any idea how long it usually takes for a company,or whoever it comes from, to mail a 401k check after leaving the company?

 

I don't know.

I do know that it's easy to spend.

My son had to do it for a little while.

 

DO NOT ask for a check for you 401(k) investment...instead go to a financial company (Edward Jones is an example) and start a rollover IRA. They'll know how to handle everything. If you accept a check made in your name you'll have to pay taxes on it, including a 10% penalty...plus the amount you have invested will probably put you in the highest tax bracket for the current year. You could lose nearly half of what you have invested.

Run a wire for a light fixture I added that's next to the range hood over the spice rack... I need to put a dimmer on it and free up the switch it's on now for additional ceiling lights.

I also needed to get a general idea where those new ceiling lights will go... Part of the problem is I can't even get to where one of them is supposed to be. So yeah... Plan B.

Also I noticed after I got up there that some of the roof insulation had fallen down and I had to tack that back into place. I so love digging through and rolling around in fibreglass...
