I posted to the newbie in both of the threads they commented on in the Sanctuary. Let me know if they post there again.

Oops...my bad, saw 'Latest Posts' and commented without reading rules of the thread. Sorry.

 

We had one family come by for trick or treat, so I gave them my stash of chocolate bars. =p

 

I feel like trick or treating is dying out and that makes me sad. Such a fun tradition

 

I've never done it. :unsure:

 

When I was a kid we would fill our bags with candy, drop it off and fill them again a few streets over.... Record haul was 5 bags.

 

I do halloween every time I go to the supermarket
jelly snakes people. I'm addicted!

OMG what are you like rich or something, snickers bars? Twix bars?? Peanut Reeses!!! kids be lucky to get a couple them jelly beans and they all the shit black ones too

Just kidding lol,. I had a box of small snickers and mars and twix bars, that's what they got. Now I have no more chocolate for myself but it's cool, the kids liked them. I think. Parents didn't say anything..

 

The number of trick-or-treaters was way down.

Of course, every town, police dept, sheriff's dept, and church has been having trunk-or-treat since beginning last Thursday night!

This would be the 6th night of having the availability to go right down the road somewhere and make a candy haul.

We had 9 children, other than my granddaughters.

I still had fun. I had a big fire and roasted a hot dog and marshmallows.

 

Yum! a hotdog would be nice right now

I'm thinking a kransky with jalopenos and some chilli cheese.

 

Tomorrow is my birthday. I'll be 49. The next one is the big 5-0 I always hear about. Anyway, tomorrow night I plan on sitting in the dark, drinking whiskey and listening to George Jones.

 

Kids.... *shakes head*

 

I thought you'd have been like 25 or something lol.

 

just after 7 PM here and we have a steady stream of kids, probably a couple dozen so far.
at first Buddy was growling and barking whenever the door knocked and I had to hold him, but now he is just chillin' with me in the back room and ignoring it.
guess he figured it out.

 

Got about 25 or more kids come by. Doubled since last year at my new location

 

I have lived in this apartment building for 27 years. The only year I had trick o' treaters was 1990 and it was a few small kids that lived in the building. I don't live in the best part of town. These days I suspect that parents drive kids across town for a better location.

 

I'm pulling an all-nighter and am trying to keep myself entertained. I just signed into this site to hopefully accomplish this.
