Moonie glad she is feeling at least a little better and you were able to bring her home. :) Maybe you could ask the vet at the overnight office if they have a recommendation for a vet, they may? They may also take on regular clients, it might be worth your while to ask. :)

That is a good idea, Heather. :) I did think of that, too, for a vet around here, as my holistic vet is kind of far....hard to get....I made an appointment about 1 month in advance before i even got Minxy cat with her. She is one of the top in the country for holistics...so you can imagine, she is a very busy lady....going everywhere speaking and a tri athlete, besides....I wish she was in my family and i could see her all of the time.

Moxy needs to go back in two weeks for levels to be checked again......so I guess I need to keep her with the same vet for now, as that will be free of charge then.....

If the follow up is not one that they are going to charge you for then it is good to stick with it for that appointment. You can request your files though if you do decide to move vets. If in two weeks they want to do more tests or such, I think it might be best to get another opinion given all that has happened this time. :)

Glad she is home with you as you will care for her with love as well, that is healing. :)

Yes, both vets were there yesterday.....my usual one who is very busy and has gotten too big for her britches since I first started seeing her until now. There are just too many patients that they see every day. If you have appointment for say 2...you are waiting a half hour, anyway, at least...and this learning, sub vet....who I am sure kept Moxy as her patient yesterday, as she is there, too, now full time.....and she is just a kid that almost wanted to go ask someone else when I asked certain things today......She started to walk out the door with one question, but then turned back around again to give me an answer that was not really an answer. i need to find someone I can trust. trust is everything in any relationship.

We are not paying big bucks for this learner.....that is not what we signed up for...time to end this now.

Best wishes to Moonglow, I hope the Pug is getting better and you find a new vet!

I'm off to see Star Trek... gotta get a dose of Hollywood once a year. No more than that...

    Thank you.
She seems a bit disorientated.....although, she was jumping for joy when she first saw me and wanted to get out of there...now, she seems a bit disorientated....
I was upset as they waited until we got there today around 2 to pick her up, after they called us this morning and said we could pick her up anytime today......and I had to wait for Stan to get back from baseball before we got there...and called them and told them 2...so they wait until we get there to take catheter out? Shouldn't you have done that this morning to see how she would do without it until we got there? I have to watch now and make sure......

I hope your doggie feels better moonglow!

I stabbed myself in the hand tonight. I was punching holes with a knife in a pickle jar top to use to catch fireflies and I missed the top and stabbed that area between my thumb and finger. I think thats a tendon? It went pretty deep but I am thinking maybe I missed the tendon and just got skin around it. But it is starting to get pretty sore.

Fireflies and blood, it should make for a fun memory

We are trying to get into a new rythym around here with tthe dogs.
They used to get one meal a day with snacks throughout the day, but since Moxy has to have two full meals now before her insulin shot every twelve hours...things are changing. A full meal for Moxy has to be smart choices and not huge, so she had salmon stew last night and this morning....No more sugar snacks for anyone else, either. I don't want any other pug to get diabetes, so I got an organic can of pumpkin, which I am going to freeze into shapes of small cookies for their snacks today. I hope they like that......I have to re educated all of their taste buds around here now.
I am trying to think of other healthy small snacks......any ideas?

Moxy looks better. She looks younger than she did a month ago, and her eyes are wide open now...not half closed like she is very sick.......but she is not bouncing around here yet with energy. She sleeps alot. She is still sick...i think it is going to take time for her body to adjust...I am keeping a careful eye.
Of course, it is almost 100 degrees here today, too, so none of the pugs are leaping around here either.....

Moonie, my dogs love raw veggies. They consider baby carrots and things like green beans a treat. The minute I take them from the fridge they are there waiting for a snack. Healthy and easy. :)

Meliai, hope you are healing, that sounds painful. Though catching fire flies is a fun thing to do!

Today I have done very little and I am happy with that. It is too hot to play outside and the stuff inside was pretty much already done so I curled up with a book and read most of the day.

It is the first night of The Celebration of Lights and I am in the mood to PARTY! It is going to be a great summer night with good food and good friends. I splurged on a selection of cheeses at the market, and I've asked people to bring an appie with them as well, so the spread should be tasty AF.

I've just learned that my Husband has invited a girl over...this should be interesting.

I hope she is hot. I don't see why she wouldn't be. My man has great taste in women.

So... It hit 100 degrees today.... and it wasn't a "dry heat". Tomorrow is supposed to be hotter and mostly cloudy.

I started putting shelf braces in the pantry... sort of pantry/closet/whatever, and rolled on a coat of primer on the walls. Oil based primer...

    Hey, Everybody.

I missed chatting here while I was on vacation but I was either too busy or too tired!

Moonie, I'm so glad that Moxy is going to get better!

My fan was on high and it barely felt like it was on. The shit is spinning fast but it's like it has no blades.
Turn it off and look seems fine. Take the front off for a closer look. Seems like new except for some dust.
Turn it back on and it's blowing perfectly. So I am leaving the front off. Now I just have to not accidentally bump into it.
