What's Happening?

Growing up, I was always jealous of kids who got to eat Ramen, since I wasn't allowed to have it. In retrospect, I was the lucky one!

My daughter saw the doctor today and what she actually has is a heel fracture. Hopefully, she can get a ct scan tomorrow and find out if it is going to require surgery.

 

Here's the robbery at our DG last night. That's the clerk that was outside moving a display in for the night when he grabbed her and forced her to the cash register. Our neighbor saw it happen and heard her screaming for help.

 

Can they do anything for your heel? I'd imagine it like a broke toe, just gotta stay off it. Or maybe I guess she could wear a moon boot. just FYI anyone that wears a moon boot is forever known as moon boot to me. forever.

 

She's wearing a moon boot and putting weight on it as she can tolerate it, otherwise she has crutches.

The doc said she may need a screw in her heel.

A screw in the heel. I'll have to have a look at the heel now lol, I imagined it just like a plate or something.

Even in all my years studying sports injuries and stuff I don't even think someone ever came to me with a heel problem. Everything else that can go wrong with a foot sure, but never a heel. I'm sure I could strap it up, and she be on the field next week.

 

how does a person fracture their heel?

 

Her doc asked her if she'd jumped off something or stepped on a rock.

What happened was a year ago, she went on a cave tour and didn't take the fine print seriously.

She was on a ledge that required you to climb out and she wasn't strong enough. She finally begged the guide to help pull her up and some how she hurt her ankle.

They told her she'd torn something.

Now a year later they see this heel fracture.

I don't know if it happened because of the ligament or tendon tear. I don't remember which they said that was a year ago.

She was doing nothing on Saturday and it starting hurting so bad that she was in tears by Sunday morning.

My brother crushed his heel once in a car accident that pushed up the floor board.

 

Ok. hope she gets better.

 

Crazy weather we're having:

6 inches of snow on Saturday night into Sunday, 70 degrees on Tuesday and Wednesday, Highs in the mid-30s on Thursday with light snow at night

 

Snow all day here too apparently. - 9

Lol you had that kind of parents too? I was esp. frustrated i wasn't allowed to watch certain stuff on tv, like Tour of duty (which I therefor watched intensively at my friend's house :-D)

 

I don't know if the sun will break through the clouds today.
