Last night, finishing up with the dogs, and 2 blocks away from home, I had three pugs with me on foot...and smelled a skunk like never before. It made my eyes water...and then I saw in the kind of darkness a shiny coat of black and white...and knew it was the skunk on the road....but as i passed, staying clear away, as i had the dogs...it had its head up, and looked like it was just sitting there.. i felt sick all night. Was that skunk suffering? Did a car hit it? It did not look squished, but a car can throw an animal, too.....so I was upset all night. In the daylight this morning the skunk was gone....I still don't know what that was all about.
It had a very healthy coat that just glistened in the dark.....I could make that out and its body position as i passed. i felt bad. I wanted to do something for it.

Well, without the in the window air conditoning running all day down here to bring temp of the downstairs to 72-75 degrees all over down here....before retreating upstairs to go to sleep, it wouldn't be here, either.....and some nights cool down from the day. Last night was one of the rare cooler nights.....so the insulin would have been ok....of course....what else is new? :D

The waterfall/pond/thingy in the meditation garden is fully functional now... or at least the pump is working. Still much to do out there. There's three frogs living there at the moment.

I love frogs, or toads, or whatever...things that look like that. I remember long ago seeing those creatures but no longer. :-( Every rare now and then there will be a litte thing...and I'll always try to put it near the water, but it'll jump before I can gently get it.

I'm always scared of smushing one.

I have to get groceries and do some outside work. If I did more than water those tomatoes and peppers, I might get something from them huh. lol There a 2 little peppers growing on all the plants. The tomatoes have 1 more...and otherwise they are scared to death to do anything but bloom. :bigeyeroll:

I'l go do something...and I'll soon need to harvest the grass back there....I can use the sling blade. :D

The lawnmower man lives in my lawnmower. :yikes: so I'm scared to use it. lol

remember way back when, when i said i was gonna start painting...well i finally started last night, going to finish today i hope. the tough part will be behind the tv because if you move one of those wires the tv goes out. they are real sensitive. but it would look stupid if i did the whole room except just behind the tv.

Years ago I bought a house and when we took possession and all her belongings had been removed that is exactly what she had done. She painted around most of the large furniture. It was not so funny at the time as I had planned to paint all the rooms but not that quickly. :)

Way too hot and humid here. Breathing sucks.

My landlord called me and a contractor is coming on Tuesday to replace the ceramic kitchen floor. Monday is going to be busy getting stuff moved so he can do it.

I can understand that but this person was not. It was just kind of a shock thing to see these big squares with mismatched colours. :)

She also liked gaudy wall paper on the walls that were not full of furniture and glued it on. I had to also repair all the drywall when it was striped. That house was a lot of work!

reminds me of my mom, she didnt like the plastic coat rack that was put up by the last person in her house so she took it down and put a metal wire one hanging on the door....but there was 2 holes in the wall where the last guy put the screws. so she would rather have two holes in her bathroom wall and an ugly metal wire coat hanger hanging from the door than just leave the plastic coat hanger where it was.

My 13 year old granddaughter may be getting her appendix out this afternoon. They are at the children's hospital, waiting to get an ultrasound.
