What's Happening?

I remember when I was like 21 maybe and working the night shifts at the bars and clubs and this property next door was getting knocked down and townhouses put up it was noisy all day when I tried to sleep. I remember luckily it was summer so my portable air conditioner drained that noise away when I tried to sleep in my room but I remember coming home one morning and these trades folks were up on a lift looking at me and I was looking at them and then one came down and said he'd notice me coming home in the mornings and if I worked at night and he apologised for all the noise etc. Lol.

That's when I realised that day workers had more benefits because you couldn't get away with that at night, that's noise pollution! But a night worker? Tough shit.

 

If I see something or hear something I know someone is interested in here I'll watch and listen for a bit.

I nearly strangled my chicken last night

 

We didn't have the triplets after school yesterday because their mom took them to the dentist.

Today, we won't have them either because it's Field Day and their mom took off work to be there with them.

I'll eventually do something productive with my time.

Hubby won't.

Not having the girls to spend time with depresses him. I'm fairly sure he medicated himself to go back to sleep this morning and that I won't see him until about dinner time.

This will be interesting when they start middle school in August. There won't be anymore spending the afternoons with them after school. We may get about an hour every day; or if their mom changes her hours we won't see them at all after school.

Hubby says that he will go over and fix breakfast for them every morning. That would be difficult for me but I'll do it if it's the only time we get with them.

I understand that life changes as children grow. I went through it with my children.

These grandchildren are the first and only "children" that hubby has ever had and he loves them wildly. He will tell anyone that without them he'd have no will to live.

Interesting times are ahead as I anticipate him struggling with letting go of them as they age.

Hubby is taking care of dinner tonight.

I'm going to dust some diatomaceous earth on the bedroom floor, dress to take Emma for a walk, put some bedding in the dryer, sweep the bedroom, arrange some clothes in the closet, eat dinner, change the bed, and of course, watch hulu tonight.
