What's Happening?

Taking a break from painting the living room then we're going to rearrange the furniture. I needed a change

 

Wow, Aeri gots some drama going on.

I agree with Pete. You're tough, and you'll be fine in the long run. I also agree that a clean and organized home translates to a clean and organized soul.

The world is chaotic and hectic. Most of our lives and the world around us are out of our control. But no our house. It's clean, it's organized and neat. It has to be. I'm a control freak in an out of control world; I'm a perfectionist surrounded by imperfection. So I HAVE to have a perfect home up to my standards. Without my sanctuary that I can dictate, I would lose my shit.

Anyway, I can see the opposite being true as well. And not just cleaning your house, but yourself. Buy a new outfit; do something radically different to your hair. It's never too late to reinvent yourself.

And, forgive me for asking such a blatant question, but...have you ever thought about you and your husband going your separate ways? None of my business and you don't have to answer, but, I guess...I don't know.

Anyway, you got friends here. You can always vent. Hang in there. You're going to be just fine.

The swim tops I ordered came today.

I'm getting kind of excited about going to the beach with my daughter's family; the only thing hampering that is the amount of pain I have this year.

Nope he was black and white like my rabbit. We had a big ginger cat when I was a child. He was cool and he loved me. I don't remember much about him, but we buried him beside the house.. I remember that much.

 

Nothing like a ginger cat.

 

I can't remember we called him ginger. Only very small bursts of memories do I remember him and it's more like I just remember a wash of orange sitting with me. Dad said he used to walk the fence line stirring up all the dogs for hours.

 

Different breeds of cats have different personality traits.

Also, most "red" aka ginger cats are males, while most calico cats are female.

Most likely the ancestors of the Norwegian Forest cat served as ships' cats (mousers) on Viking ships.

 

He looks very Viking.

The weather says we have 62% humidity.

I could have sworn it was higher! I haven't felt humidity like this since my daughter's wedding when the humidity was 86%!

Holy Smoke!

I re-seasoned two of my cast iron skillets.

Smoke alarms started going off and you could see how smokey it was in here.

I thought the exhaust fan over the stove and the air conditioning units could handle the smoke.

Wrong.

I had to open the windows, turn the a/c's to "fan" and put a box fan in the window to exhaust the smoke in here.

These friggin' skillets better look like glass!
