I suppose all my clothes smell like shit now because they are hanging across a rod at the end of the hall.

That's just easier than fighting the cats every time I want something from my closet.

Geez... I guess I'll look up how to make homemade Febreeze.

I need to do a proper seasoning of my new cast iron skillet, but I haven't yet, despite cooking with it for a month.

How do you do it, Aeri? I saw a YouTube video that involved baking oil into it at 500 degrees.

Open all windows and turn on fans, first!

Scrub it clean with hot water to get all the factory yuckiness off it.

    Turn your oven to 450F.

Put solid Crisco or lard all over the pan - handle, bottom, everywhere. The last thing I looked at said that Flax Oil is the best.

Then rub it off with a paper towel.

Let it stay in the oven for at least 30 minutes then turn the oven off and leave it until it cools.

If you have a grill outdoors that would be great to do it in.

THAT makes a lot of sense. Anyway, I have coconut oil, olive oil, and bacon fat in an old coffee can.

Do any of those work in substitution of lard? Or am I going to have to go out into the world??

I'm watching Say Yes To The Dress - Canada and some videos where they remake the mother's old dress into a new dress for her daughter.

My daughter's wedding did not quench my love of weddings.

My dream would be to own a Wedding Dress Shop. If I had a huge inventory of beautiful dresses I'd be in hog heaven; and I'd love finding the perfect dress for every bride.
