Sound advice, according to what I think is a good idea and not according to any scientific study: use cold water after your hot shower, as it helps close the pores back up instead of hot, wide pores inviting in all the dirts things.

 

Yep, I always rinse off in cold shower afterward hehe.

Who needs science when you have real life experience.

 

Thinking of going to Lowe's today to look at some cool power tools for the shop. I'm really wanting to start beekeeping and would like to build all of my own equipment. During winter months I can be out in the shop getting ready for the next season and during the spring/summer/fall I'll be out in the apiary.

 

A big thunderstorm woke the dogs this morning and they woke me...I'd probably been in bed for maybe two hours.

 

I too want to start beekeeping! I'll probably just buy my equipment because i'm lazy. But have fun building yours and let me know how it turns out

 

The reason i was very interested to get into beekeeping was because of the decline of bees. But it appeared that in my parts that counts mainly for wild bees. So getting into keeping cultivated bee hives/domesticated bees would not really be helping..

 

More into barkeeping myself.

Moderation is key. And you can stretch it a little with some proper precautions (like a good meal beforehand and drinking plenty of water before sleeping. I never do the latter either because I don't like to do that at all. But the meal thing is like a law!)
